Purpose: Fixes for scaling issues above 100% during 3D printing

Overview

An update was made to Mosasaurus after identifying printing issues at scales larger than 100%. Improvements focus on first layer adhesion, part stability, and proper fit between key components.

Only the following parts were modified:

1. LowerTeeth

2. UpperTeeth

3. LowerNeck

4. LowerJaw

Details of Changes

1. LowerTeeth and UpperTeeth

Issue:

At larger scales, the first printed layer exhibited small gaps, compromising bed adhesion.

Fix:

Adjusted the geometry to remove imperfections and ensure a solid, continuous first layer.

2. LowerNeck

Issue:

The part experienced drooping or warping at the bottom when printed at increased scale.

Fix:

Modified the angle to improve print stability and eliminate the need for supports.

3. LowerJaw

Issue:

The contact surface for the lower teeth was irregular due to texture errors, causing fit and bonding issues.

Fix:

Corrected and leveled the mating area for proper tooth alignment and adhesion.

Conclusion

These updates enable Mosasaurus to be reliably printed at scales above 100%, with improved first layer performance, better stability, and accurate part fit—without the need for supports in the updated sections.
