About the project
This is the same project I used to record the 4.5 update video so its a bit of a mess.
But you can find a few stencil experiments I did in the stencil folder.
I also created some visualizers for the stencil and depth buffer.
They are at stencil/visualizer_scenes.
Just add them to the scene and toggle the visibility to see those buffers.
They only work for the first 5 stencil reference layers, but it should be enough for multiple effects. You can add more by creating more shaders.
Random Thoughts
I tried making a more fast-paced, to-the-point video this time. I still couldn't help myself and did a fast explanation in the start.
But I was trying to create a small video showing only how to make the effect.I think I'll make more small videos like this one for simple stencil effects I know how to do to make a small library of effects you can quickly lookup when you need something.
I just need to figure out how short I need to make the stencil buffer explanation in each video because that is going to become boring really fast.
I'm thinking of just explaining as I do next, and later make a more slow-paced video explaining stencils properly. Like I used to do, showing multiple effects along the video as I explain. But we'll see.
