Lukestria Family v1 plan (Patreon)

Lukestria Family is finally reaching its conclusion, version 1! Aeee!!LUFA took exactly 1 year and 2 months to complete. That’s while juggling updates for Prayers of Distorted Minds and my other projects on Steam. Still, that’s a solid number!

LUFA has around 5 hours of main story content, and if you go through all the side content, it can reach up to 8 hours. With the new update that’s coming, which brings a LOT of new stuff to Your Territory, that playtime will easily jump to 10 hours or more.

Now, what’s the plan for this update I call “final”?It’s final for the main plot, but LUFA will still receive bug fixes and improvements until I’m fully satisfied, it just won’t be my main focus anymore.

Goals for this update:

Finish the main story;

Complete all events in Your Territory;

Go through the entire game fixing every bug I find;

Polish and improve everything possible;

Recheck all story branches to ensure no important choices were left without consequences.

Not many items on the list, but trust me, these few things mean a lot of work! Haha. But everything will turn out great.

About PDA, it’s launching on Steam today! Aeeeee!!! As I mentioned before, I’ll keep the versions separate because of Steam’s updated content policies.The Premium version will be the uncut, original version as it was meant to be, while the Steam version will be adapted to their rules, with some extra content added to balance things out. The same will apply to DUEX from now on.

When is the next Prayers of Distorted Minds update?I miss that madness too, exploring endless dark caverns with my girls!PDM will get an update next year. Since it’s also close to completion, with the upcoming update being v0.9, my main focus at the start of next year will be finishing PDM.

And what about December, Cas, anything new?Yes! LUFA on Steam! Haha.But of course, not just that, I’ll also use December to start organizing the story and assets for Dungeon Explorers 2, and I’ll do the same for the final updates of PDM. That way, I’ll begin the new year with everything ready to roll.

Cas, you said LUFA shares the same world as DUEX, PDA, and PDM, will we ever see how the world went from modern to fantasy?I’m not sure yet. After finishing PDM, my next main focus will be DUEX 2, and I want to focus on a single game instead of juggling several like I’ve been doing. So I can’t promise a side project for now.But maybe… something set right after the meteor impact that destroyed the modern civilization, known in DUEX and the others as the Ancient Civilization or Lost Civilization. A game that bridges modern and fantasy settings, kind of a Fallout-style transition. We’ll see, we’ll see. No promises.

Will DUEX 2 have animated scenes?Not at first. I still need to buy a better PC, but I live in a third-world country where tech is insanely expensive, so I haven’t gathered the funds yet for a proper upgrade, one that can handle the tools I need to start working with animation.But it’s definitely in my plans! Honestly, I’m dying of envy (the good kind!) of the devs who started after me and are already killing it with amazing animations. It’s inspiring, really. Haha.

And about the feedback I get from you guys, I read all of it, even the hate. I always try to mine something useful from every comment to improve. So many of the things people complained about won’t happen again in DUEX 2, like overcrowded maps full of monsters blocking your way or enemies with no sense of balance.

This post turned out to be more of a general roadmap than just about LUFA, but that’s fine, more information is always good, right? I want you, my dear brothers, to stay tuned about what’s coming in the next few months.
