Hey, adventurers!Your Dungeon Master here, ready to answer some of the most asked questions!Let's go!

Will this game be long or short? Can we have multiple endings? Do our choices matter?

This game is a long-term project, so I don't know exactly how the story will end yet. I'm still working on it. Multiple endings are possible.

As for choices, yes, they matter. The idea is to build something similar to a reputation or personality system, like in Mass Effect. The game design is still a work in progress, but it won't stray too far from the style of my previous games.

Do I need to play the first game before playing this one?

No, you don't.

However, players who have played the first game will understand more references, lore, characters, and world-building details.

Can I avoid kinks I don't like, such as tentacles? Your games are kind of dark. Is there any risk of rape scenes?

Every adult scene is optional and requires player choice. Nothing is forced.

I also don't work with rape content, so you can play without worrying about that.

The dungeons are missing textures! Everything is just red squares!

You probably downloaded a compressed pirated version. Download the original game and the issue should be fixed.

I keep getting lost in the dungeons. Is there a map?

Yes. You can buy maps so you don't get lost.

Once you purchase a map for a dungeon floor, a minimap will automatically appear in the corner of your screen whenever you enter that floor.

But I don't know where to find the maps! Help me, Cas!

After crossing the lake and speaking with the Water Elemental woman, you'll gain access to the Trading Post.

There's a shop there that sells maps. Once you own a map, a minimap will appear in the corner of the screen, making navigation much easier.

Each floor has its own map.

Good exploration!

I can't find the Minotaur Horn! Aaaah! I need a walkthrough!

You can find the Minotaur Horn inside the Minotaur Cave, which can be accessed through the Minotaur Camp near the Snoring Stag Inn.

Can I choose the protagonist's class?

No. You don't need a class.

You can build your character however you want. Focus on STR if you prefer weapon skills, or invest in INT if you want to specialize in magic.

Skills and spells become stronger as you use them.

What if I want to play without seeing the H-scenes?

All adult content is completely optional.

How do the time cycles work? And how do I repair the broken bridge?

Sleep until at least 10 days have passed. Once enough time has gone by, the bridge will be repaired automatically. The cycle is Day>Noon>Night.

Will the game receive monthly updates? Will each update add hours of gameplay?

Yes, the goal is to release monthly updates.

As for playtime, maybe. The game is more gameplay-focused than story-focused, so how long each update lasts depends largely on how you play.

I can't choose my class? Why did it change to Champion after the prologue?

The protagonist has only one class.

According to the story, you become the Champion of the Hollow Queen. That's why your class changes from Commoner to Champion after the prologue.

Which route is good and which is evil? Is the Mine Guard route good? What about the Anti-Slavery route?

There is no good or evil.

There is only what you believe is right.

In the Mine Guard route, you focus on preserving jobs, keeping the company profitable, supporting merchants, and maintaining the kingdom's economy. Many people depend on the mines for their livelihood.

Yes, the company uses slaves. However, the CEO strictly forbids excessive punishment and mistreatment.

On the other side, the Anti-Slavery route is driven by people who believe everyone deserves freedom. Some slaves were kidnapped by manhunters and sold into slavery, and the abolitionists want to reunite them with their families and restore their freedom.

However, shutting down the mines may increase material prices, cause unemployment, and potentially lead to more crime throughout the kingdom.

While freeing the slaves will grant that freedom has not price and every person is the master of his own life.

The game is still early in development, but your choices will have consequences in future content.

Choose based on your beliefs. There is no good or evil alignment, and even the Karma System does not judge your actions. It simply reflects your ideals.

Are the H-scenes animated?

Yes, they are animated.

I completed the mission to clear the mine, but there are still monsters inside.

That's normal.

New monsters can continue appearing until the source of the infestation is sealed. Don't worry, though, the miners are not in danger while this is happening.

I experience some FPS drops while exploring the mines, especially when opening menus.

The mine is one of the largest maps in the game, so it may cause minor performance drops on some older systems.

The other dungeons were designed with more optimized dimensions and should run smoothly.

Can we get followers?

The two easiest followers to obtain early on are:

One can be "rescued" from a burning house in the devastated Hobgoblin Village.

The other is found on the final floor of the Minotaur Cave.

The fishing chest is hard to reach! Does it contain magical items?

Not really.

It's mostly just a random amount of coins.

Will our followers have their own stories? Can we have lewd interactions with them?

Lewd interactions? Yes.

Personal storylines? No.

All party members are souls from the past. Their stories have already ended.

However, they do have an Approval System and react differently to your choices.

The Hobgoblin follower tends to approve of Virtue choices.

The Dragon woman tends to approve of Ambition choices.

How long will Dungeon Explorers 2 be when completed? Is there a progression roadmap?

I expect the final game to offer around 20–30 hours of gameplay.

The general roadmap is:

Act 1

Open the city, help refugees, earn money, make contacts, search for your family, join the Adventurers Guild, explore the dungeon, and help resolve the conflict between the King and the Princess of Veria.

Estimated duration: 4–5 updates.

Act 2

Travel to another kingdom and become involved in a civil war. The game becomes more focused on tactical battles. You acquire a castle and begin managing and expanding it.

This is also when the protagonist becomes the Black Prince, a figure frequently mentioned in my other games, especially Prayers of Distorted Minds.

Estimated duration: 5–6 updates.

Act 3

The war against the Church of Chaos begins.

The gameplay becomes more focused on dungeon exploration, world influence, and kingdom management. Eventually, the story reaches its final battle and ending.

Estimated duration: 7–8 updates.

Overall, I expect the game to take around two years to complete, roughly twice as long as any previous game I've made.

I don't like sharing my women with other men, so I'm not interested in the prostitutes at the Snoring Stag. Are they love interests?

Not really.

You can pay the prostitutes for adult services, but I wouldn't consider them romance options.

However, several of the other women working at the inn are genuine love interests. The owner is the only exception.

Also, romance is completely optional and never required for story progression, so you can simply ignore any character you're not interested in.

Do things change as days pass? Is there a time limit for completing the story?

Don't worry. There is no time limit.

World changes are mostly there to show progression and unlock new opportunities.

For example, after ten days the broken bridge gets repaired.

These are small world events that make the world feel alive. They won't pressure you into rushing through the game.

Play at your own pace.

Is AGI useless? Does DEF actually matter? I don't understand the stats.

Your stats determine your build.

With low defense, high-level enemies are much more likely to defeat you quickly.

No stat is inherently better than another.

STR = Increases physical damageDEF = Reduces physical damage takenAGI = Increases turn order speedINT = Increases magical damageWIS = Reduces magical damage taken

Want to play like a Rogue?

Focus on STR and AGI to strike quickly and hit hard.

Prefer a tanky character?

Invest in DEF and WIS to survive longer.

As you progress, you'll unlock skills and spells in the city, giving you even more control over your playstyle.

How exactly does DEF work? How much damage does it reduce? Can I resist poison or paralysis? The monsters are destroying me, Cas!

The combat formulas use multipliers.

For example:

Enemy Damage = 500 + (STR × 9) − (DEF × 4)

Let's say the enemy has 30 STR.

500 + (30 × 9) = 770

Now let's say you have 100 DEF.

100 × 4 = 400

The final damage becomes:

770 − 400 = 370

So you would take 370 damage.

This means that every point of DEF can be worth much more than a single point, depending on the formula being used.

As for status effects, resistance comes primarily from equipment in Dungeon Explorers 2.

WIS mainly helps against magical attacks, while certain items provide resistance to specific elements or effects.

For example, the Magic Sword grants Darkness Resistance, allowing you to take significantly less damage from Darkness-based attacks and spells.

Aaaand that's it!

I hope this FAQ helps you explore the world of Vesperia.

This universe is shared by Dungeon Explorers, Dungeon Explorers 2, Prayers of Distorted Minds, and Peasant Dream Ascension.

And if you'd like to experience the lore before magic became part of the world, there's also Lukestria Family, which takes place during the era known as the Lost Civilization.

Have fun!
