Message from AGI-Stories…

Happy New Year! I hope you are as excited about things to come as I am. Let's go!

Good Morning

It is officially 2026! Happy New Year! The end of our time here in St. Croix is in sight, but we’re still having a good time. Today a lot of different things are happening, and I’ll share more later.

I’ll tell you now, though, that Jason and I are going to live out our “walking together to the starting line for our future” metaphor with another hike. Kent and Izzy are going sightseeing. I’ll let you know about the others as I learn what’s planned.

I do want to comment on the recent reliance on “Completed on Patreon” posts. I know a lot of you won’t go see what more is shared, but I have conceded to the fact that a lot of stories deserve more detail than will fit on Instagram.

If you follow the other journal-style storylines—“River City Connections” and “The Chosen”—you’re seeing the same approach there.

All I can say about it is this: AGI Stories is about the stories. The pictures are supposed to help tell the story. Now, I’m fully aware that most people just scroll IG for the images. I’m okay with that.

But those of you still reading this probably know that as much effort goes into the story as into the images.

To those reading on IG—effort is made to see that enough of the story comes before the break that you won’t be totally lost. That’s not 100% possible, but mostly, if you read the whole IG post, you’ll not be too lost when things come up later.

Readers on Patreon, of course, have easy access to everything and can decide what to read and what to skim.

While IG probably wasn’t designed for stories like these, I think it’s working.

Full disclosure: I do hope the people who just look at the pictures are happy, too. But for a really long time, the story has been the priority, and that’s not going to change.

The Storylines are the heart of Ailana Geven Imagines, and they are found in the Collections section of the site.

COUNTING DOWN TO BYE

Thanks for checking back in! I hope your New Year’s Day is going great! Here in St. Croix, no one is complaining.

Josh and Geoni went to the beach and sent pics. I’ll share them, but I’m not going to do a full carousel of everyone!

You might remember that Clay and Sasha came down early in the month, so they’ve had a lot of time to do things. Today, they are just staying in and watching TV. No kidding!

Jasmine and Micah ended up connecting with Kent and Izzy. There’s a lot going on there! Micah and Kent sort of identify as being similar in that they fix broken things—Micah is a mechanic; Kent is an electrician. Jasmine is talking to Izzy about how she balanced modeling with getting her master’s degree in psychology.

Back to Sasha… The remodel work isn’t going to be done by tomorrow as planned. The inspectors won’t be able to get out until early next week, then the final punch lists need to be tackled.

So what’s the plan?

Sasha has suggested—and most of us have agreed—that we won’t go back to South Padre Island on Saturday as planned. Instead, we’ll go to Houston.

Micah has to get back to work, so he and Jasmine will go back home. Their part of the condo was already finished.

Sasha says it’s time to get our hands dirty. Not too dirty…

We are going to the Houston Food Bank and making up boxes for distribution. In short, donations come in. Someone has to inspect them, sort them, and pack them up to go to people in need. That “someone” will be us.

We’ll be in Houston Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights. We’ll rent a car and drive back to South Padre Island on Wednesday.

Honestly, I’m sort of ready to get back home! And of course, I’m hoping you’ll be going with me.

I’ll be back tonight, so see you then.

HOLIDAY PAY by Isabela Martinez

It is New Year’s Day, but the clinic is open from 10 to 4 today. The office manager invited me to take the shift.

“The corporate office cleared us to be open. Holiday pay rate applies… Do you want the shift?” she asked.

Of course I said yes. Every little bit helps! At time and a half, six hours is like nine, so this will be a good week.

Ricky is Dashing today, too. There are enough restaurants open, he’s sure he’ll stay busy!

Last night, we decided to stay in and just cuddle and watch TV. We watched the ball drop in Times Square, then went to bed. The year came to an end right about the time we were falling asleep.

Ricky was up first, out the door for his first deliveries before I got in the shower.

We talked a lot last night, and we are going to make this situation work. Cut back here and there—tighten the belt, as they say.

When we stop and think about people in other parts of the world, we have to admit we’re better off than many. Ricky said something really smart.

“Let’s focus on what we have, not what we don’t. And we can focus on what we really need instead of things we’d like to have.”

We’re going to make it work.

Good Night

I’m glad you found this post and checked it out. I’m robed up for the post picture and ready for bed as soon as I hit the button!

I feel like I should have something thoughtful to say, but honestly, I don’t. It was a good day with good people, and now it has come to a good end.

And really, sometimes that’s enough.

It is a great honor to share my life with you through these pictures and stories. I’m delighted by the comments you leave, the advice you give, and the encouraging thoughts you share.

Beyond that, I suppose we just say good night and look forward to tomorrow. I look forward to seeing you then.

May you, in the year to come, prosper in ways that help you give back to others in need.

Good night.

Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

As 2026 arrives, I want to acknowledge just how much the support and encouragement from you means. In addition to the cost of creating the content, a lot of time and energy goes into it as well. Your likes, comments, questions, and encouraging remarks keep me going, even on days when I'm pulled in multiple directions all at once.

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month.

Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.

I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.

While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

I believe I have found ways to give you more exclusive content, while still making the site meaningful to visitors and passersby.

Again, thank you very, very much.

Good Morning. Good morning to you. The photos bring people to the journal, but the compelling stories are why they stay and click through to Patreon like myself. IG does a good job of a teaser opening, but I want to know what happens. I think others will too, as more people discover you and your journey. Keep up the good work.

COUNTING DOWN TO BYE. My New Years is like countless others. Dismantling the last throes of Christmas. Which is why fans like myself enjoy reading about you and Jason hiking on a tropical island! Glad you two could have an extra day together. Thanks for the bonus pictures of Geoni and Josh. Happy that the team has each found their own leisure time and deepened the friendships there. But Houston sounds like a huge project! Is this the biggest giveback you have done so far? I mean, huge! You're really jumping into 2026 with both feet. Good luck!

HOLIDAY PAY by Isabela Martinez. Hello Isabela, thanks for your post. many places are open on New Years' Day. I'm glad you could get some extra time in this pay period. Holiday pay at that. Also fortunate that Ricky could get some extra income as well. I believe that through your strength and determination, you two will make things work. Take care.
