GOOD MORNING
I hope you all had a great night’s sleep and have awoken to what will become a great day. Let’s do this, right? I found a shirt for the post, so let’s say I’m ready, okay?
I actually didn’t get to sleep as soon as I wanted last night. As soon as my head hit the pillow, some surprise corner of my brain lit up! I blame Josh and Geoni.
Yesterday, they announced that they have been approved to adopt a child—they want to adopt a teen. At the same time, Sasha admitted that she and Clay were in the early stage of thinking about a baby. And that makes sense—both families are about to hit the one year mark in their marriages. Thinking about a family is normal, I think.
Flash forward: Let’s just acknowledge that Jason and I are waiting for the stars to align (on some random Tuesday or maybe a Wednesday or…) to officially say we are engaged. He’s waiting on me to give him some sign that I think I might be able to do. So, sometime in the months to come, we’ll be married.
Flash back: On Sunday, Jason and I were talking about the future together, and he sort of gave a nod to the idea of us having children.
Processing that? Okay… I stayed awake a while thinking about this one.
If the math works out, Jason and I marry sometime in 2026. DOES THAT MEAN I’ll be thinking about motherhood sometime in 2027?
Mind melting. My best friend besides Jason, Grace, didn’t have a great example of a mom for me to take notes from. My mom? Definitely not, even for the years I knew her. Jason’s mom was great, but I was pretty busy watching him, not her, so… I have no idea how to…
It’s a layer of things to think about, and I’m not really even sure where to start. So, I’m going to do that thing where I repress the question, and worry about letting the stars align, first.
I’ll get back to you when I do!

MORE MODELING
Jasmine and I had a quick meeting in the AGI work area. Naomi has reached out to us again!
I got a text from Naomi this morning, then she followed up with Jasmine (who followed up with Jason). There’s a box coming tomorrow with one outfit for me to model, with a “night on the town” vibe.
Everyone is okay with the idea, but Jasmine had an additional thought.
“I want to tell you something,” Jasmine said.
“Sure…”
“I was talking to Mrs. Prior, and she was saying how thankful she was we could do this. I had a thought, and I just told her.”
“What was that?” I asked.
“I said, ‘Mrs. Prior, don’t take this wrong, and I don’t really know about these things, but it seems like drop-everything-now work would be worth more than base rate.’”
I nodded. “You’re not wrong about that. What did she say?”
“She said she’d thought of that after taking this job. She said she’d see to it that it would be a lot better going forward. Her cut gets bigger. Our pay gets bigger. Customers get what they need.”
I nodded again. “Naomi is smart. She’s building something, and we’re her content crew. I’m interested in seeing where this goes.”
Jasmine nodded. “So far, so good, right?”
“Totally. These little surprise jobs are a great bonus.”
She seemed pleased. “I still can’t get over how much I made last time for just holding out my wrist with a bracelet on it. We didn’t work four hours total, so that was like double the base rate.”
“Yeah, that was easy. I think we’re onto something good here.”
We hung out for a while, then had lunch. She’s gone back to her on-line coursework now, and I’ll get back to some edits.
LATE HOMEWORK AGAIN by Emily Amos
I suppose I’m going to have to turn my essay in late again. Maybe I can still pass tenth grade.
My mom works from home most of the time, and some man is coming over. I usually leave. This time I need to leave now—mom is still yelling.
“Emily Taylor Amos! You need to be gone before this one gets here. He doesn’t like to see you when he arrives.”
“I’m leaving! So stop yelling!”
I’ll go to the 7-Eleven where I work part-time and hang out for a few hours. If I’m lucky, I can talk whoever’s working into clocking out and letting me clock in. Every dollar helps.
GOOD NIGHT
Another routine day for me comes to an end. I hope your day was great, filled with nice moments and experiences.
Sharing the routine with you feels really nice in some ways. I get to let you see me going through my daily life. I try to share what I’ve come to think of as authentic slices of life.
But I worry that the line between routine and mundane is thin. Things for me have changed over the last (almost) two years. I’m no longer hotel-hopping solo, trying to stitch together my modeling jobs and frequent flyer miles to keep myself going while I built myself up as a writer.
I’m now part of a creative group, and we actually have to think about things like “income over expenses.” Big events take more planning and impact more people, so the periods between them feel longer.
I guess the stories in the Journal have become more about living than about doing. And I am okay with that!
I also hope you are, too.
I believe that, in the months to come, you’ll find that life in this Journal reflects a lot of different things in a lot of different ways. I feel very confident that you’ll see the mission of AGI Stories—which the AGI Creative Group is a part—carried out. I believe you will be entertained, informed, and inspired.
As always, I am deeply grateful to each of you for your support. Your encouraging words and comments make doing this far more satisfying, and I want to thank you.
You are the reason this is happening.
May you see how what you do makes the lives of those around you better, knowing you had a part in the happiness and wellbeing of others.
Good night.
Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:
Let me begin by saying how grateful I am for your engagement with the content. Your likes, comments, questions, and encouraging remarks keep me going, even on days when I'm pulled in multiple directions all at once.
I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.
Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month.
At this time, most of that cost is being covered by Patreon members like YOU.
While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!
I believe I have found ways to give you more exclusive content, while still making the site meaningful to visitors and passersby.
Again, thank you very, very much.
