COUNTDOWN TO CLOSING by Cindi Curtis

By the time you read this, I’ll be less than 24 hours away from closing on my house! Oh, did I mention that I have a ring? Not just any ring, but an engagement ring—a symbol of the pledge Michael and I made to each other on the 11th!

Now, I think I should apologize for my last post. Obviously, I was pretty excited and I may have dumped something akin to stream-of-consciousness on you.

Let’s review without the blathering…

I will close on my house in Bartlett tomorrow. Papers will be signed and keys handed over. I have already packed almost everything. I bought an air mattress, linens, toilet paper, and a set of bath towels. I’m moving in.

Michael and I set a date for the wedding. It will be on March 21 followed by a honeymoon for a few nights in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Back in Colorado, Mom is “staging” my house for showing—mostly she’s done, and it’s been shown once already. She’s tagging everything with stickies on the bottom. Red for sale. Green for send to Memphis.

Jordan and Carter flew out to Colorado, picked up my car, drove it back to Memphis and—oh yeah—decided they were ready to start dating. I was oblivious. Michael said he wasn’t surprised. Jordan says she’s beyond happy.

Also, Roman and Hayes are dating. Hayes says it’s great, but they’ve not shared a lot of details.

That, I think, sums up a lot of what’s happened so far since Thanksgiving. If I stop and think about it, I’m in awe.

I should add that my excitement—and my urge to tell you everything—has overshadowed my disorder. I wish I could say it’s gone. I can say I’m coping, and having Michael’s support makes it a lot easier.

After we left the jewelry store yesterday, I had a short moment where I realized I had been among a store full of strangers. We were already gone before my anxiety caught up with that. The panic—if you want to call it that—lasted through a traffic light cycle, then the shiny ring on my finger prevailed!

I might never be cured. But that’s okay. God is still good. Now

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

It is my belief that most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. I am honored and greatly moved.

I know that I share a LOT of content FREE TO ALL. I'd imagine that you understand why. The stories about giving back and helping seem like they shouldn't be exclusive. Certain plot moments need to be understood by anyone trying to to follow the stories.

With that in mind, I always consider you, the paid members, when deciding how to share content.

My hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month.

Again, thank you very, very much.

COUNTDOWN TO CLOSING by Cindi Curtis. Hello Cindi. No problem blathering when you have this level of excitement happen. I am glad all the things have overshadowed the disorder. That creates some hope, right? Glad to hear you are coping. Seems that you are coping well, especially with Michael's help. I had hoped you would come to Memphis and it would be a blessing for you. I don't think I need worry any more. Rock on!
