SATURDAY AWAITS by Cindi Curtis
Good morning to everyone. I hope you are having a great Saturday.
As expected, my biodegradable trashcan liners arrived. They came in a handy dispenser box, so that’s a bonus. And I didn’t notice until now that they are certified compostable.
That means I can toss kitchen scraps into them and then toss the whole bag into my compost pile. I got them as trash can liners for things that go in the curbside bin—then the bag will decompose in the landfill. Now that I understand more, they will get double duty!
Okay… moving on…
I started today with a devotional on the book of Judges—a book not for the faint of heart. If you need a quick reminder, before the monarchy (Saul, David, Solomon, etc.), the twelve tribes were led by the judges.
Many of the judges were—to be honest—pretty bad people by anyone’s criteria. Many of the judges were—to be honest—pretty bad people by anyone’s criteria. Jephthah was basically over in Tob strong-arming people before he was called into leadership. Samson pretty much just ignored the principles of being a Nazarite.
The commentary I looked at said something interesting. The failings of the judges didn’t keep God from keeping God’s promise to the people. God used flawed people (very flawed in some cases) to—despite their flaws—do the work that needed to be done.
When I think about the fact that all of us are flawed, this devotional reminded me that I—with all my flaws, shortcomings, and limitations—can do the work of God.
I feel a little humbled by that, to be honest.
Be your best you!

Message to Paying Supporters:
I just wanted to share that I (creator) had a very busy week leading up to today. In truth, I'm moving into another very busy week ahead!
I hope you've enjoyed the content. I'm sure you have questions about what everyone is doing, so this week to come, I'll try to get some updates from the others.
In fact, I'm working on a post from Jordan for tomorrow as soon as I hit post on this one! With the Hayes-Roman wedding on the distant horizon, how will she and Carter proceed with working together at Jordan's apartment? She'll address early thoughts on that!
And as always…
Thank-You:
It is my belief that most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. I am honored and greatly moved.
I know that I share a LOT of content FREE TO ALL. I'd imagine that you understand why. The stories about giving back and helping seem like they shouldn't be exclusive. Certain plot moments need to be understood by anyone trying to to follow the stories.
With that in mind, I always consider you, the paid members, when deciding how to share content.
My hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!
Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post (not counting hardware or internet connectivity fees) AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month. Every supporter is helping!
Again, thank you very, very much.
