GOOD MORNING

A lot of things go on around her all the time. I try to cover the high-points that I think you’ll find interesting, but sometimes I realize I’ve overlooked something.

Today’s plan grows out of one of those not-before-mentioned details.

I’m not exactly sure when, but around the time we started planning the trip to St. Croix, Jason and Geoni set up some accounts with stock photo sites for AGI. They've both been putting images up and generating some income. Every little bit helps.

Today, Jason and I are taking the Highlander and heading back to the north end of the island. This trip is all about spring flora. We’re going to fill up some SD cards!

What this means for you is that you get a break from me for the midday post. (I can hear some of you cheering! Wow… Cue the sad trombone!)

This is a big departure from the norm, and I hope those of you who weren’t just cheering don’t mind too much.

Of course, I will be back for a goodnight post. See you then.

IT’S A PLAN by Naomi Prior

I’m on hold with a client, and I have good news for them.

I just got off the phone with Jasmine Banks. It went something like this…

“How’re things in Texas?” I asked.

She told me about the group’s plans for a sailing trip. I told her that sounded exciting and to send me an itinerary in case I could find some shots that fit where they would be.. Then I got to the reason I called.

“Last time we talked, I said I had something in the works?”

“Yes ma’am. Sasha said she sent you what you asked us to get.”

“I got it and now, I’ve got things worked out on my side. Do you think Saturday will work?”

“One second… Let me get to a place I can write.” I could hear her typing, so I figured she was pulling up a calendar. “Got it… You can deliver to the studio address?”

“Sounds good.”

“I’ll get everything in place, and we’ll be ready. I’ve never seen Sasha so excited.”

“I hope it’s as fun as she thinks it will be. Thanks so much.”

I have to tell you, I like working with AGI. Sasha is as devious in a fun, playful way as Jasmine is sweet!

OUT OF THE BLUE by Micah Banks

Something happened at work today that led to me being home early. Clay was taking out the trash and waited for me.

“You okay?” he asked. “You’re not sick?”

“Nah… Something happened. I’m getting some time off.”

I explained that the shop is renovating the QuickLane bays, and decided to lay off two people. One of them was a guy a few years older than me who just moved here from Houston. His wife just had a baby, and they have family in the area.

“He come out of the office looking like somebody had kicked him in the stomach,” I explained. “He told me what happened, and it was like God spoke. You know me and Jasmine don’t hardly have any bills. We’ve saved a lot since you hired her. We can make it fine without me working. I took him back in to the manager and said he could have my job.”

“Wow,” Clay shook his head.

“I can tell you,” I said, “I’ve never felt better or more scared at the same time. But in my heart, I know I’ll be fine. I already called Jasmine and she said she was so proud of me… Well, I guess that’s what matters. It’s just for a few months…”

Then Clay looked at me and laughed. “Maybe… Maybe not. I was going to wait until a few more things were in place, but…”

He pulled out his phone and opened a Google Doc. He showed me something on the screen: “Plant Mngr — ? Micah Banks ???”

“What’s that mean?” I asked.

“You know things with SwimFit had to change. Sasha and I were going to see if we could get you to be part of that.”

“What plant?”

“That’s the part I was waiting on before I brought it up. But now… I guess you can go to Mobile with us? We can talk about all the ideas and details on the boat.”

“Back up… What are we talking about?”

“We’re going to open a cut-and-sew factory to make the swimsuits. It will be really small to start with, but it keeps our dream for SwimFit alive. We wanted to see if you’d run it.

“Me?” I couldn’t believe I heard right.

“You.”

GOOD NIGHT

I hope everyone had a great day. Jason and I did, and we’re not quite done.

We’re on our way back after shooting all day. We picked up shots of the dune grasses as they are just starting to green up. The beach morning glories are also starting to bloom as are the prickly pear cactus flowers. We took our time, even shooting the sea oats and other coastal plants that brighten the dunes with color.

When we got back to a place where we had decent cell coverage, we got a text from Sasha: “All hands on deck Saturday a.m. Studio by 8:30 a.m. Josh is on cheerleader duty. More details to follow.”

I’m not going to lie. When things start to feel like they are getting slow, Sasha sets something on fire and all of a sudden, we’re all running around in different directions. The trip to Mobile and back is going to be great!

As for Saturday, I have a feeling no amount of coaxing will reveal what’s going on. Not until the moment arrives.

Sasha will be smiling. And I bet the rest of us will be, too.

May events come your way that brighten your smile and create memories you’ll cherish for years to come.

Good night.

Be your best you!

GOOD MORNING. Good morning to you. Online photo bucket is a good idea. Most PR people either have one or contribute to one for easy access. Once it is uploaded, you don't have to wonder which stick that perfect sky photo was on. I totally get no time for midday post. I love those, but, really? Not everybody does? Hmm. Well, the rest of us, hmm, will eagerly await a good night post. Thanks for the preview.

OUT OF THE BLUE by Micah Banks. Hey man. That was a gutsy move. You have a good heart. And, what?!?! You know, Mr. Banks, you have got to hand it to the AGI heads, they really know how to throw you the proverbial curve! Wow!! But, I mean, I guess you can go to Mobile, now. But that still raises more questions. And I'll wager a bet that Clay has those answers, too, and will tell you later. Have a good evening!
