GOOD MORNING

Happy Sunday to all of you. I grabbed a robe, set up the camera for the post, then fired up the Keurig coffee maker.

From April to October, worship times are 9:30 a.m. so I don’t have a lot of time to waste, but I’m far from rushed. After the coffee goes into me, I’ll be going into the shower and all that sort of thing. Call it a normal morning.

After church, the Banks are heading to a gathering of Micah’s family. They are taking Kaylee, Isaac, and Hudson with them today. The promise of slow-cooked ribs on the grill was too good to decline. They’re taking the Honda.

Clay, Sasha, Geoni, Josh, Jason, and I are going to go to Savannah’s Charm to just hang out. We’ll pack a change of clothes in the Highlander for when we get aboard. The menu is simple. We’ll have salad and chicken fingers.

I sort of like the idea of today—simple and filled with friends…

I’ll wrap up now, but I hope to see you later on.

CLOUDY SUNDAY

Some of you have commented over the months that things around AGI are always subject to change and adaptation. I’m okay with that, and today’s upheaval actually makes me pleased.

Jason’s and my wedding has been scheduled here for June 5. Today, one of the staff caught up with us and asked if we would be open to moving it to May 23. I didn’t say anything, but I was thinking—the sooner, the better. We told them we’d make the change.

I actually am happy to move it up. It gives me less time to worry!

That’s about it for now. We’re heading to the yacht to hang out—just staying tied up in the marina—but it will be a relaxing day.

I’ll be back later with a goodnight post as usual. See you then.

CHIPS AND COOKIES by Emily Amos

I feel like it’s obvious that I don’t have a lot of regard for my mother. Today doesn’t make things any better.

Basically, Mom is a terrible person who does terrible things and makes terrible decisions. (Repetition of terrible on purpose.) Today’s terrible decision comes as a result of her remembering we got the SNAP deposit.

“Go get some cookies and chips.”

That’s what she thinks the money should go to. Chips and cookies.

To make it worse, she added, “…and just get what I tell you this time. I want to see the receipt.”

So I’m at the store to get junk food.

Honestly, I don’t care. I’m counting down to school ending.

I’d call my caseworker, but there’s no way to be sure I could stay at Liberty. I’m not trying to change schools again with the end so close. Six weeks. I can come home late when she’s done with her business, sleep on the couch, and push through to the end.

After that, I’m sure things will get better.

GOOD NIGHT

Today turned out to be really nice. There was a lot of relaxing time and good food with friends.

There were some great conversations today. Clay and Sasha went over all the amazing progress with SwimFit and their factory, Southeast Texas Apparel. They got all their equipment delivered and hired the factory staff.

Jason and I brought up the change in plans for the wedding. Everyone thought sooner was better than later, too.

“That will be near the time we expect the adoption to be completed,” Josh added.

“Better plan for one more at the reception, then,” Sasha said with a smile. “I know you guys will be excited.”

The topic of Sasha and Clay conceiving a child came up. They said they weren’t running tests yet, but they were hopeful.

“According to the kits, they can detect pregnancy after ten to fourteen days. We’ll start testing in May. We really want a January baby.”

“Why?” Jason asked. “What’s special?”

“We’re not telling,” Sasha replied. “But I have a special reason.”

Besides those things, we talked about modeling, Kaylee’s lookbook, and Naomi’s blossoming business. We all feel really good about where we are as a company. We’re looking forward to the next few weeks before the wedding and the rest of the summer afterwards.

The U.S. Route 66 idea is still afloat. That, we think, will be a great summer odyssey.

Now, I’ll wrap up this post. Jason is in his condo making smoothies for us, so I should get going.

May you find yourself surrounded by friends and family that make your days richer and more meaningful.

Good night.

Be your best you!

Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you for helping support AGI Stories.

I always consider you—the paid members—when deciding how content is shared.

I believe that most of you who help with the costs do so because you want to support the production process and show encouragement. I’m honored and truly grateful.

At the time of this post (not counting hardware or internet costs), expenses run just over $100 per month—so every supporter truly makes a difference.

Nevertheless, I share a lot of content free to all. I believe you understand why. Stories about giving back and helping shouldn’t be exclusive, and key moments need to be accessible for anyone following the stories.

My hope is that sharing a few exclusive photos and small portions of some posts with you serves as a simple expression of gratitude.

With that in mind, again, thank you very much.

CLOUDY SUNDAY. Well! That's still quite a change. But, if you as the bride are okay with it, then May 23 it is! Interesting that the staff wanted to move it. You have spoken...sooner is better. Enjoy your day. And thanks for the update.
