I, the human behind the screen, have been thinking a lot about how the content publishes here. Starting tomorrow, I’m making some changes. Let me explain.

The more I’ve thought about it, and the more I’ve paid attention to when I get notifications about likes and comments, the more I’ve come to believe that most of you visit, take in everything that’s new, and then move on.

I don’t see much value in spreading the posts out over the course of the day. I think it's possible that doing that means you are catching things out of order.

Say Ailana’s Journal posts, and you read it, then move on. Three hours later, one of the other storylines posts, but you're on to something else. You'll catch it the next time you visit.

I've been posting at regular times spread out over a five-hour period. I've decided that isn't the best option.

Here’s the new plan…

Barring unforeseen circumstances, I’ll start the daily schedule with Ailana’s Journal at 4:00 a.m. New York City time. That’s the same time I’ve been using for a long time. It’s 3:00 a.m. South Padre Island time, and either 8:00 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. UTC, depending on Daylight Saving Time.

Then, I’ll schedule everything else within the next few minutes.

The upside is that if you come here a little after 3:00 a.m. South Padre Island time, the whole day’s content will be in place.

The only downside is that the in-story time of day won’t always line up with the posting time. However, that seems unimportant to me. Making it easier on you to enjoy the stories seems like a bigger priority.

If you have any thoughts on this, let me know.

Hmm. Well, let's try it and see. You know we'll give feedback. Lift off!

It's great you're letting us know about those changes, it speaks really well from you showing readers and followers are so important for you. I think it won't hurt to try it out. If it gets well, okay. If it's not, okay too. It's better to try than not making a try.
