CLIENT RELATIONS by Hayes Lenox
Good morning to everyone back in Memphis. I hope your week starts well, or at least starts with coffee and a manageable inbox.
It is late afternoon here, which still feels strange to say because my phone keeps reminding me that most of the people I know are barely awake. Time zones make ordinary communication feel slightly strategic.
Roman and I had to come to Perth for one of his clients. They are a grain transport company, mostly dealing with moving wheat and other bulk grain from inland storage sites toward rail connections and port export schedules.
Roman says this trip is more business than tech.
I think he is right.
There is an official hardware check involved. Some equipment needed to be looked at on site, and one of the client’s people could have handled that without us crossing the world.
But clients like to shake hands with the person they are sending money to from time to time. It is not inefficient. It is human.
Since I travel with Roman now, and since ClearStream has a client here too, I had my own face-to-face meeting.
Satellite Safe-Systems is based in Perth, and they make security software for satellite control systems. I am not one of the ClearStream communication or content experts, and I do not pretend to be—my work is the business side: admin, bookkeeping, billing details… and making sure the relationship does not quietly fall apart because nobody updated a form or confirmed the right email address.
But I can shake hands and listen. The meeting went well. Better than I expected, honestly.
My work is caught up for the moment, so I let myself come down to the beach. Rockingham is quiet in a way I needed. The wind is steady. The water is wide. The sand is clean and bright, and for a little while, nobody needs a spreadsheet from me.
Roman and I are going to Wildflower for dinner tonight, so I probably need to get back to the hotel and become a person who looks like she belongs in a nice restaurant.
For now, though, I am sitting still.
That is not nothing.
Have a good week, wherever your morning starts.

TUESDAY THOUGHTS by Cindi Curtis Allen
Good morning, friends, and happy Tuesday.
I hope your day starts steady, your coffee does its job, and whatever is on your schedule behaves itself.
Michael drove to Nashville this morning to meet with one of my clients there, so I have the house to myself today. That sounds very peaceful until you remember I am the kind of person who can discover stress in an empty room if nobody supervises me.
Yesterday, I had a green-living tip I wanted to share, but I ran out of room, so here it is.
Compost does not have to be complicated.
I know some people hear “compost” and picture a serious gardener with raised beds, a three-bin system, a thermometer, and strong opinions about carbon ratios. That is wonderful if you are that person.
But you do not have to be that person.
Even if you do not garden seriously, you can still have a small corner for compost. A sealed countertop container for coffee grounds, vegetable peels, pepper tops, eggshells, herb stems, and fruit scraps can be the first step. Then, if you have space outside, you can keep a simple covered bin or a small pile in a tucked-away corner.
It helps keep usable organic material out of the trash, and over time, it turns scraps into something that can feed soil instead of just filling a bag. That feels like one of those little choices that does not look impressive but still matters.
Small habits count.
I need to get going soon because my Tuesday Touch-base meeting is coming up. That means status updates, priorities, reminders, a few “where are we on this?” questions, and me trying not to drink my coffee too fast.
Today’s verse is Philippians 4:8 NIV. Paul tells us to think about what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy.
That is not denial. It is discipline.
There is plenty to worry about. Plenty to criticize. Plenty to replay until anxiety thinks it has a permanent office in your brain.
But God gives us permission to choose our mental direction.
