Did the show ever explained why Shego's skin is green? Or maybe it's just make up?

It's a mutation from the comet that gave her and her brothers their powers. It's unknown if the skin color can be willingly concealed, her brother Hugo doesn't show it while as a civilian so it's implied he uses makeup or something, but when she went by Miss Go, her skin was still green. Edit: never mind, it looks like Hego is the only one who got to keep his regular skin tone.
