Ah this one was a rocky one unfortunately. We had two winners this time around, not really a problem, but yeah meant i had a bit more freedom to choose between the badger on a cliff or the animal stereotypes.Problem just was that i ended up having a block for both of them. None really sprung forth anything that would be interesting to do with the digital sketches i do usually. After a lot of sitting around and not making any progress i decided to switch and do a watercolour instead. They're maybe not the greatest paintings because i'm still rather bad at them, but ya know, actually painting them is part of getting better after all. And these community sketches always were planned as a way to switch things up for me and just have a space to learn a bit in a medium i don't usually use.It unfortunately didn't turn out like the most amazing watercolour i ever did, but that's just how being an artist goes. There are always projects that just don't want to work out nicely. Now it's by no means horrible either, probably pretty average compared to the usual watercolour fiddlings. Just i guess in the context of this not just being me funning around with watercolours, but actually being a dedicated sketch it feels a bit underwhelming for me. *shrugs*In any case, i hope you still enjoy this little sketch and of course thank you very much for making it possible to experiment a bit in the first place! :) And i hope stuff like this is still fun to see given that the path of an artist isn't just the fancy nicely presented pictures after all.
