Hey everyone, thank you for plopping down some characters like 2 weeks back or so, here are the sketches that came out of it as i try to figure out what i want to do with my commission sketches. Photoshop is just not a great program for sketching, and the way i did them before always just invited me too easily into noodling and weird stiffness and whatnot. In comparison to that i quite like doing this style and realistic paint studio is the first art program on the tablet that actually feels fun to use to me. Heavy paint was fun too, but it's not ideal for commission sketches i suppose. But yeah, i quite like this approach, only problem is with pretty much a 2 tone greyscale it's quite troublesome to convey fur patterns. Something more contained works, like spots, or specific shapes, but for example the typical countershading where the stomach is lighter than the back is just best left away.So i'm not quite sure if that makes this sketch option impossible for some characters. For example the surfer sketch initially was supposed to be another character. But the countershading just made it impossible to really convey the character in that light, as it pretty much cancelled out the light. Meaning i had to switch to a character with some other distinct features beyond fur colour. Oh well, we'll see how it goes and with time i assume i'll just get better at it as well.Anyway, here we got sketches of the characters of Auric Konev, Kalenden and  Madison Scott-Clary . Hope you all enjoy them!
