Jealous Axe (Patreon)

The next pic of this month is the Duo Poll winner, Shang-Chi & Thor.

I’ve called this one, “Jealous Axe”… If you’ve seen, “Thor: Love & Thunder” you’ll probably get it. 😉

If you haven’t, I won’t spoil it for you (but seriously… do go see it!! 😍).

So, this week has been... a lot!! 😅

As a person, I tend to run quite hot at the best of times… there’s rarely a time when I’m at home and there isn’t a fan pointed at my face!! 😂 (When I get too hot, my mind just doesn’t function).

However, because I do get so warm at the best of times, this week’s heatwave we had here in Europe really, really got to me. I did everything I could think of to prepare, to take precautions, follow advice from people who live in warmer climates etc., and frankly, without that, I don’t know how I would have even made it through. It did however have an effect on me physically and mentally, and took me a couple days to recover from it.

As you can probably imagine, that also had a knock on effect on my work, and left me still finishing off this week’s pic today.

If I’m being honest, I’m also not as happy with the finished piece as I could be - maybe that’s me still in my head and getting back to normal again.

I think I’m too close to it to tell, but either way, as my other half has reminded me, while there’s always more that can be done, there also comes a point when you need to step away put down the pen.

So, while this may not have the kind of finish I was hoping for, I do hope you guys enjoy it. I don’t often go with what could be labelled as a “soft-core” piece, but I was really feeling this for these two (or three, if you count Stormbreaker 😜) and hope you all enjoy it too.
