Hey Patreon! πŸ‘‹πŸ» This week I wanted to take you along while I create a Youtube video - start to finish! I've used this process for the last few years and have found it to be the most effective and efficient (for me, at least).

Hope you like the video and have a great weekend! β˜€οΈ

Great vid, I love a peek behind the curtain. I'm curious, does doing the multiple filming location videos (wall & fireplace) add a lot of work to the filming? Or is it as simple as filming one section and then spinning the tripod to film the other? Also, does it make the editing any more difficult?

That was so interesting, not as easy as I thought. Your Saturday morning videos are always my favourite way to start the weekend! me thinks it's that "infectious" smile πŸ˜„. Talking of your other channel I always get notifications when you post on there, so infrequently & like you said a little Niche but certainly doesn't cause me confusion! Towards the end of todays video it sounded like you said "I don't want to confuse the elderly" Surely Not? 🀣..... Enjoy your weekend! I'm off to Lingfield Park this afternoon 🐎πŸ₯‚

Thank you and great question! This is usually what I do when I film a sitting-talking video but in different places around the house: On my notes where I have bullet points on what I want to say, I write down where each point will be said (1 is normal spot, 2 is fireplace, 3 is couch, etc) And then when I film, I do ALL the points for the normal spot, then all the points for the fireplace, etc! I just re-arrange them when I edit, but that's not too complicated ☺️

Great vid as always - just as suggestion here - the vid you couldn't use because it was filmed out of focus - approach the company who did your laser eye surgery to sponsor it. Just run it all - have an end sequence where you say "this is how I used to see the world blah blah blah" - Job's a good one LOL. You're welcome lol

Great video Alanna! Thanks for letting us look in on your process. Question- Do you use your phone to take the video or a camera? If so, which one? Lovely to see you. Have a great weekend!

That was cool, I've never really seen what it takes to make a YouTube video.

Thanks Andy! My videos are all done on a Canon EOS M50 Mark II! Sometimes I'll shoot b-roll on my iPhone, but the real video is done in the Canon ☺️
