I love October, also affectionally referred to as Spooky Month.

Mid-September is a good time to start celebrating! First off, I watched I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House. I definitely wouldn't call it horror, but it's eerie with lots of atmospheric stuff. Certainly an arty-movie for folks who like that kind of thing. Very slow. Lots of b-roll.

Overall I was a bit bored, but the camera angles and cinematography is really beautiful!

I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (2016)

I AM THE PRETTY THING THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSE tells the story of a Lily, a young nurse hired to care of elderly Helen Bloom, a best-selling author of ghost stories who has chosen to live out her final days in her beloved country home--a home that holds an horrific ghost story of its own.

I really enjoyed it when it came out. It's by the son of Anthony Perkins, who played Norman Bates in Psycho. You should check out other movies of his like The Blackcoat's Daughter aka February and Gretel and Hansel. He's a very talented director.
