Congrats on moving (hoping everything works out, I know how difficult that can be in England)! Remember to declutter early, and only bring the items you REALLY want in the new place :) That's my best moving tip after having done a move last year. And that one (or 10) moving box you haven't unpacked after 3 months? Get rid of it. You didn't need it, unless it's seasonal items. Best wishes!

It’s a little early for a whisky, but who am I kidding! Of course, I joined you. Couldn’t watch you drink all on your own. Cute little bottles, what a great gift! If you still have some of the South African left, try adding a drop of water. 53.7% alcohol is pretty high. Fingers crossed everything will go well with the move!

Good luck with the move, save some of that whiskey (and the bourbon) for after the move to settle down with. Also, 'Bros.' = Brothers. So, Berry brothers & Rudd. It's one of those things like signs that have 'Wm', which is William, such as 'Wm Morrisons', now just reads, Morrisons.

Good luck with the move, the second most stressful thing one does in one's life. If one does it often enough it gets less stressful, almost like falling off a log, easy. You have moved countries so a few miles down the road should be a piece of cake. Stay safe Alanna, hope all goes well for you and Chris, may the gods smile on you both.

Congratulations on your exciting news. I hope it all works out for you. You wisely tried The Three Ships whisky first. I can foresee an embarrassing miss pronunciation of that one after a few glasses. My grandfather was born near Loch Lomond so clearly all good things come from there. As you're buying a little bit of Kent I think you should name it Alannashire. 😊

whisky tasting is a lark. The whole 'open up the back of your throat' business and let the aromas circulate and then whereabouts you let the liquid settle in your mouth. It sounds like a load of garbage but it totally works. I did mine at the whisky museum in Edinburgh. It was magic, once you're told how to drink it.

I hope your move goes through and it is as stress free as possible. My youngest daughter is in the middle of trying to move and has had offers rejected on 3 different houses so far! My middle daughter just moved from Sevenoaks to Lincoln and it was so easy because they just paid lots of people to do everything for them.
