Hi everyone!!

This week's video I'm making my very own hot cross buns!! I wouldn't recommend it!!! lol

Like I mentioned in the intro, this was originally filmed for Youtube but it seems that audience isn't too keen on cooking videos anymore.. so you guys get to see this cursed video instead!

If you make your own hot cross buns, let me know how you do it!! Hope you guys have a great rest of your weekend and a good Easter if you celebrate!

I hate hot cross buns, so I won’t be attempting this, it would be my personal hell! Shame your cooking videos don’t do well on YT, they’re so funny! This video (or any of your cooking videos) would make a great drinking game tho: shot for Mr Hollywood, every time you say sultana, whenever you deviate from the recipe, etc. 😂

That was funny! Thank you for your videos! I made a break at this time on my study timetable so I could watch your video because I always look forward to your videos! Thank you, the video was very funny and it was a nice break from studying!

That episode was a lot of fun! YouTube's lose is our gain...😊

A lot of time and effort you put in .3 hours waiting time .. That's to much ...When you make a loaf of bread it's under an hour..Anywho thanks for the vid . Have fun in the sun ..

How could those YT philistines not appreciate your cookery vids? Loads of fun as usual, at least for us, and your version looked pretty appetising to be honest.

Hi, Alanna, I don't like hot cross buns but that was very entertaining. I've no idea why they don't do well on You Tube.

Yes, I make my own, I open the packet, take them out , slice in half and pop under the grill for a few minutes, butter (real) and eat, thats making them. Proving leavened dough is not to a set time as it depends on the temperature but too warm and it proves too quickly and ends up with a texture like that horrible sliced bread, flour to wrapped sliced loaf in 45 minutes. Cool and slow gives the best texture. The initial proving can be done in the fridge overnight as with bread. One can do something else whilst the proving is taking place, like editing another video or washing the car, even housework.

Turned out fairly successful in the end, even though it took a long time.

Always happy to have an Alanna cooking video on Patreon! Hot cross buns are one of my favourites - toasted with a nice chunk of Shropshire Blue cheese. Yum!

I have only seen hot crossed buns in the coffee/bakery shops. I haven't ever noticed them or remember seeing them at the big chain grocery stores, but they might be there. Well done!!

Try it - you might like it! May even get you over your hatred of sultanas :-)

Yours do look better. Been awhile since we had such a chaotic almost failure on here. Probly since the great cheese incident.

Well done, hope you got a Hawaiian pizza

If you're posting this then you didn't burn the house down/die. So the day went well. :)

I really enjoyed this video so thanks for putting yourself through that for us! It reminded me a bit of an older YouTube video where you were making pancakes and nothing would cooperate with you. Your reaction to the second lot of flour and water paste going everywhere was priceless!

What? How is that possible? Alanna's cooking videos are right up there with the tasting and drinking ones! So much fun. Thanks for creating them for us.

I don''t know why people don't like your cooking videos. I think they're great! Please keep doing them.
