I agree with putting up the tree before Xmas Eve but in November?! No! 😂 Probably put mine up on the 12th, if anyone wants to come do it for me before that, feel free! Lol

My family hasn’t put up our Christmas tree yet, but my flatmates in Uni put a tree up in our flat this week! I haven’t seen it yet because I left uni early this week, so I’ve only seen it in the group chat lol, hope you have a nice week!

Lady Alanna, The Royal Christmas tree is the grandest in all of the Kingdom. Thank you for including us on this merry occasion...👑

Jamie Smith

Usually its Alanna, its 10am! But this time its Alanna, its November!

Good advice about the tinsel. Our dog Jasper, bless him, ate a length of wool and had the same experience. Unfortunately we couldn't pull it out, and so he might have needed a major operation. Fortunately the vet and strong laxatives got it out but still he had to spend a night in hospital. The tree looks lovely! Thanks for the video as always 🙂

Love the tree . Beginning to look like Christmas. .Glad you like the title thing . Just for fun . The Naps family comes home ..

Great video and nice tree. "It's a bit bald but we love it anyway" sounds like the perfect OBLC slogan.... 😂

"I don't have a dog, but I don't trust the Butler not to eat the tinsel, and as much as I love him there is NO way I'm gonna do the same for him as my mom did for the dog..." Tinsel on the Tree Dilemma the Editor's Cut.

Hi Lady Alanna, Lord Tony here, yes I too own a sq foot of Scotland. When the kids were young and we were living in Sussex we always had a real tree, the same one each year, It was bought from a local farm who had a dig your own tree week each year. It was a 4ft one when bought, planted in a half barrel each year and replanted in garden after Christmas. It may be still in the garden there as it got too tall to bring in after about 8 years even with the roots being trimmed each time it was dug up, planted in barrel and acclimatised in the conservatory for a week before being rolled (barrel on casters) into living room. It would be about 30 ft plus now. It just got decorated in the garden from then on and an artificial one in the house.

The "official" guidance for when to put up your Christmas tree, as far as WE were always told, was it goes up twelve days before Christmas day and must be taken back down again by twelve days after Christmas - to avoid bad luck! But hey - does anyone bother with that anymore? Well - actually, I do! But that's just me! By the way, Alanna, you ask us to send pictures of our trees... but how? There's no facility to attach pictures to these comments - and we (obviously!) don't have your email address to send attachments to - and it would be too much hassle to print one off and mail it to your PO box... so, HOW?

As you are now landed gentry I suggest you start referring to your place as "Naps Hall."

Andy McGarty

I always get a real tree. But after at least the 15th.

Alanna's Discord server is open to all Maple Friends and above Patreon Subscribers. The A+N email address is easy to find, I won't post it here as I'm not sure how public Alanna wants it.

Ah yes - I forgot about Discord. I used to join in on there, but I got so fed up with it barging itself onto my screen every time I started my desktop PC up and making it necessary to manually turn it off every time - plus the fact I just felt like an outsider with most of the chat lines - that I got rid of it altogether in the end.

We all knew you were a lady. Glencoe is a very atmospheric place, with stunning scenery. Sure there will be Google images you can look at if you want to get a feel for the place. Also a bit wild on a wet windy day. Fair bit of history to the place, remember when I was younger watching a BBC documentary on the place the bit that suck in my mind apart from the rescue helicopter was the song MacIain of Glencoe by Moira Kerr about the massacre, very haunting

At least with 12 days before Christmas, you have a bit more time to enjoy it than Christmas Eve! My A+N email is adventuresandnaps@gmail.com or you can Tweet at me! Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the Discord. You can change your settings so it doesn't sign you in every time you turn your computer on, if that helps. It can be hard to get to know Discord members, also depends how much you chat. We've had some Discord members celebrate their 4 years on the server, but everyone starts out as a new member at some point!

first time on your tree, for the legs .......

Thanks for your personal reply! I did persevere with Discord for quite a few months - but in the end I started to feel OLD compared to everybody else on there, so I decided to bail out of that particular line of communication and just carry on with enjoying your YouTube and Patreon videos. Thank you for the email address - I didn't know that was there! When I put my tree up, I'll be sure to send you a pic! I have very traditional ideas about how a good Christmas tree should look - though of course there are no hard and fast rules! Yours looks lovely, I have to say, though wait a few years till you've accumulated some more baubles and decorations - lookin' a tiny bit sparse at the mo, Alanna!

Lesley

Try some bows as fillers. And if you miss having tinsel you could have strings of gold beads. They look good draped around the tree.
