Is it summer yet??

As I stress over my visa result (no word yet as I'm typing this..) I thought we'd make a few summertime cocktail variations! I wanted ingredients that are easy to find and hopefully make some good drinks!

Let me know if you have a favourite summertime cocktail - I'd love to try it!

Loving the colours of those drinks -definite Summertime vibes. Having the Butler rank your creations 'live' at the end of the video is a great idea!

Your digital scales have a fl. oz. setting on them to make things easy, just as well not following an old British written recipe as the measurements would have been in fractions of a Gill. 1 Gill = 1/4 pint (5fl. oz.). The old standard pub measure in England was 1/4 gill. (1/3 gill in Scotland and Ireland). Equates today to 25 and 35 ml.

I didn't know about Aperol until I went to Italy. You can buy it at the LCBO though. I bought a bottle one summer for my cottage cocktail. I might try the peach version.

Great video! Aperol cocktails aren't much of a thing in California, I'm partial to Palomas myself: tequila (usually white) lime juice, and a grapefruit-flavored soda such as Fresca, Squirt, or Jarritos and served on the rocks with a lime wedge. Adding salt to the rim of the glass is also an option.

My summer cocktail: 1. Fill a glass with ice. 2. Open 710 ml bottle of Coke Zero. 3. Pour. 4. top up until done.
