Thanks for the video! Interesting comparision, I do think names go in cycles - for example Arthur is my grand-father's name and seemed to disappear for many decades before re-surfacing fairly recently. FYI: Isla is a Scottish name, the 's' is silent, hence eye-la (or eye-le).

Think I and the Wife came up with two good ones for two of our daughters, Victoria and Elizabeth, Victoria has never been shortened and she gets mad if anyone does. Elizabeth has become Libby. Their initials are good also VGAS and ELMS. I've always been Tony never Anthony.

If Freyer sounds pretentious, then it's because the name comes from Norse name Freyja, and Freyja was a goddess.

The trouble with Mia, and other very short names, is that there is often an acronym with the same letters, in this case MIA: Missing In Action.
