Title and author issues on Kindle (Patreon)

Amazon is currently not correctly extracting title and author information from ebook files sent to its Personal Documents Service. We use this service to deliver articles we extract and convert to ebooks in Push to Kindle. 

Articles processed recently will show the author "Unknown" in the library view. Some titles will be affected too. Please see our blog post for more information.

There is sadly nothing we can do about this other than wait for Amazon to fix the issue.

Kindle EPUB issues

Amazon is currently having trouble correctly handling EPUB metadata sent through its Kindle Personal Documents Service. If you send EPUBs to your Kindle account via email, or use a third party application like our Push to Kindle service to send web articles, you are probably affected.

Just FYI, .mobi docs will show the author as the Kindle owner regardless of what is typed into the field before sending.

"There is sadly nothing we can do about this other than wait for Amazon to fix the issue." In the mean time, you could fill in the title and author fields in the Kindle app, since those are what Amazon is actually using instead of the title and author values embedded in the ebook.
