Exclusives #2 and #3! Clark Kent and Superman (Patreon)
Content
Hi Everyone! I’ve officially been a Patreon creator for a few days now, and I’ve been so appreciative of those of you who have already joined the community! Now it’s time to drop some more exclusives for my commercial license Patreon members and to entice you Free Bees to upgrade into the early bird tier! I’m really excited about these two designs: Clark Kent and Superman! I LOVE these designs. I love how they complement each other. Both of these are 8”x8” prints, and (if I say so myself) they are pretty damn awesome. These two designs alone taught me so much about Hueforge and how to be creative in layering filament to achieve colors and shades that can be notoriously difficult to work with together (looking at you, blue and red). Little story: those of you who follow Canadian Gamer may notice that my Superman has a familiarity to his Batman. First, something some of you may not know: Canadian Gamer and I are a couple, and we work together side by side at our computers designing most evenings. People have been asking him if he was going to make a design for Superman in a similar style to his Batman. It had been in his plans for a while, and he came up with an image he liked and started working on it in Hueforge. Well, it's a tough image to work with. Like I said above, some colors don’t like to play together nicely, and Superman is red and blue. So CG would work on it, not be happy enough with it, take a break for a couple of days, and then come back to try again. He had dropped his image into our shared photo editing program, where I looked at it and thought, “I want to see what I can do with this.” So I did. Over a couple of days while CG was away on a business trip, I spent a good chunk of time tweaking the image to play with color levels, etc., and then I put it into Hueforge and started working with the layers and filament colors myself. Later, when Canadian Gamer came back to his version and finished working on it, he did what he often does with his designs and asked me what I thought. And it was good. Then I asked him if he wanted to see what I’d come up with. So I showed him and well…we agreed that I’d release my version on my Patreon, and now here we are! Canadian Gamer is an amazing Hueforge designer and artist, and I’ve learned so much just watching him work on his designs, so I want to thank him because he inspires me to be a better creator myself.

I have to say, I’m really proud of these designs. Clark Kent was a lot of fun to design from scratch. I hope you like them too. They are free to download for members with a commercial license. Otherwise, they are available to purchase individually in the shop tab for personal printing, but you’ll need to upgrade to the commercial license tier membership if you’d like to sell them! Have a great weekend!
