Sneak Peek! New Pokemon Collection! (Patreon)

When I was in high school and all the way through my mid 20s, I worked part-time in libraries while I earned my Education degree in English Language Arts. I vividly remember posters on the walls from a campaign started in the 80s by the American Library Association. These posters featured celebrities reading books with the word READ above them. I can picture Harrison Ford and Chewbacca (this was peak Star Wars time), as well as David Bowie, Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, and these posters still continue to be produced with Grogu and Taylor Swift holding their favorite books in their hands. The goal is to get young people interested in reading by seeing people they look up to reading their favorite books.

I loved this idea, and, being an English teacher, I want to encourage reading. So I thought, what if I make some fun hueforges featuring some favorite characters reading? Specifically, Pokemon? And what if I made a set of matching READ bookmarks for these Pokemon too?

So my project for the last week has been building some READ hueforges and bookmarks that I think kids, parents, teachers, librarians, and Pokemon fans will enjoy. I hope you do too! I plan to release these in sets mainly here on Patreon, with some on Makerworld over the coming weeks. I'd love to know what you think of them and if you have any suggestions!
