Hi everyone,

It took me a while, but I'm finally here! :) The sponsored shows that won't make it to youtube, will be posted on Patreon full length. I will also release them quicker (2 episodes a week), so if there is a show that you might not be into, there will be another one soon after :).
Let's start of with... Masters of the Air!

Marijke, I am so happy that I could sponsor this show for you since it involves the citizens of Belgium and is such an important part of history. We should never forget the sacrifice all these brave young men made to stop evil and to try to make the world a better place for all of us.

There are some drastic differences between the three. BoB was well recieved as it was a friendlier theme (relatively speaking) focusing in particular on the bonding of the men it focused on, pacific was a completely different world and the theme was more of misery and suffering as thats basically what the pacific theater was, similarly MotA has its own unique theme. The air war generally is less covered and less understood so viewers had to learn a lot and one thing this show does well is explain a little bit each episode, this one talked about life on base, combat formations etc, next episode talks about something else and doesn't overwhelm the less knowledgeable viewers with information. Since you're already on apple for this. Check out greyhound which also has hanks involved, single movie that does talk about navy perspective in particular convoys sending supplies to England. When you're done with this series there is a companion documentary that will help bring it all together I recommend watching that as well. This series does take a lot of FLAK(pun intended lol) i think mostly due to misunderstanding, lot of knowledge that people just don't have and also as you mentioned expectations set by BoB but like pacific, MotA tells a different story in a different world and they really aren't comparable. Personally I loved the series. It was first announced maybe 10 years ago so been a long wait plus the personal connection my grandfather was a waist gunner on B17s eventually shot down in Germany, wounded, and captured becoming a POW until the end of the war. I felt it did a good job bringing that part of WWII to screen.
