The scene with Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris is just such a masterclass. I love the description that it is essentially God, The Devil and Man sitting at a table for a drink.

Before William and Dolores meet El Lazo in Paria, remember that The Man in Black kills Lawrence in the woods in order to save Teddy's life. We know that dead hosts are picked up at least daily to be cleaned up and put back into the park as soon as possible. We've already seen Dolores' father replaced by another host, so it's most likely that when we meet El Lazo we are looking at the same host who has been reassigned instead of a duplicate. Also, we know that hosts don't really dream, but that they can remember past event that may seem like dreams to them (this capability is enhanced by the "reveries" software update that Ford is apparently responsible for). The hosts' loops are set, but interaction with guests can pull them away from their primary loops for awhile. In 30+ years of the park's operation one can imagine that a host like Delores has been around quite a bit, so when she has a dream or a hallucination it is not unreasonable to conclude that she is remembering some actual events from her past.
