I took a bit of a break after the last one because whieeeuuww. I liked this one a lot, but I feel like it's hard to comment after part 1, since it does feel like you end in the middle of a story. They just dumped these heavy feelings on you and then... goodbye see you in part 2, haha! Also, no Hogwarts at all, whaat?! :D

And ofcourse... Dobby dobby dobby dobby :( :( :( :(

In a way it's weird because now I do want to watch the next one immediatly, but also, I don't know if I'm ready to say goodbye to this franchise.

This movie too slow and boring but I still like it. The Hobbit movies sound much more boring slow burns than this. Avengers Infinity War and Endgame pull off a much better part 1 and 2 than other based on book series movies. Maybe I'll rewatch this later in a watch along.

Finally got around to watching. Dobby's death is sad enough within the movie franchise. I think it has a heightened sadness when you know the content of the books as well. As the broader nature of their friendship is explored. 😥

I don't know, I feel with Dobby that absence makes the heart grow fonder. I mostly found him annoying in the books (as well as in the second movie), so I wasn't that broken up about it when he died in book 7. But his death hits harder in the movies, I feel, simply because we didn't get as much of him.
