Especially With Three Arms follows Kyle and Rosa, a couple living together in the fictional city of Santa Herlinda. I love seeing little intros and fact sheets about other people's characters so I figured I'd make my own.

I wanted to note that if you've read my other comics with these characters, you might notice that Kyle looks sort of different. If I can be a little vulnerable: When I first came up with the concept of these characters about a decade ago, I had planned to make Kyle mixed race Chinese American and white, like I am. I didn't do anything with the characters and kind of forgot about them until a couple years ago when I started actually drawing TF art. At the time, I only planned to use them for a one off comic and decided to make him white on a whim because I was worried about wider appeal.

In planning this sort of reboot of the characters, it occurred to me that I've never written a character that was the same race as me before. The reasons for that I'm still trying to unpack, but I think part of doing that is to change him back to how I originally pictured him. Race isn't likely to ever be relevant to the plot anyway, so it shouldn't matter to the story, but it matters to me.

Representation regardless of relevance makes stories more realistic and immersive

One Piece has trained me to look at bios like these for Chekhov guns. I don't *think* we're gonna see anything with Slugs, Large bugs, Mustard, or Taffy... but since he wants to know what it feels like to be someone else, someone with no Dog Allergy feels like an easy starting point. Do hope we get some info on the retail job, too.

I haven't read One Piece but I love that the author plants clues like that.
