Can you do a video about layering sounds or how you think about the different elements of a song. Thanks man!

Awesome seeing you going out and crushing it! I would love to see some hacks to bring fun into the creation process. I’m still finding my flow with dnb production and at times feel myself getting stuck obsessing over details in my arrangement vs getting back to grooving and having some fun to find what’s missing.

Would love to see your approach on making leads for your melodic tracks! (For example, making them from scratch on serum + layering fundamentals + effects + how to make it “fit” into the track). Any tips on making a “good melody” would be nice as well, but mostly curious on the technical side of leads!

George Waller

bit late to the Q&A post so I feel like this wouldn't get any favorites, but still a valuable topic: one thing I struggle with, which is what I think separates GREAT producers from just good ones, is finishing songs quickly. I feel like it would be helpful to know how fast you finish songs - whether or not you send out for mixing anything to make it faster, etc. It would be a good benchmark to try and shoot for. When looking at your discography, even earlier in your career you really cranked out tunes, releasing I think 13 in one year at one point. that being said, any advice on how to finish a song faster would be very appreciated as well!

Hey! So im struggling with dynamics through the track. How much louder (range) in lufs or rms should the drop be than the verse?

Seaquel

Is it possible to do like a yearly update on your template and side chaining method? It’s so cool seeing the progression of your techniques and the philosophy behind your decision making Limiting vs. clipping, when to use either or both together Deep dive on compression tools like multiband, OTT, etc.

I just want to know how to get that extra 1db or so out of the mix/master. Yours and Illenium and such are like just a hair louder than I can get my own stuff. Another topic would be how to best keep a sub level between notes in a melodic tune. I usually export to audio and manually level match the notes but wondering if there's a faster or more efficient way

Holy shit it's Caslow, funny running into you here, just want to say that Waiting is one of the best songs I've ever heard and I listen to a fuck ton of melodic lol

Haha well I mean I’m always learning myself still! Never stops with production and that’s part of what I love about it. Always keen to see others processes. Thank you a ton for listening 🙏🤟 maybe I’ll have to do a breakdown for waiting on my patreon page
