EDIT: Prologue bugfix is fixed in the new version (box block main character) Apologises. You can fix it by downloading bugfix, extract and replace the www/data file Map039 with the one in the bugfix. Or you can redownload the entire thing.

This is sort of a repost but not really since rec room is up so it's not the same post, the previous release post feels like a mess so I'm doing this again for future players and also for me to copy and paste to free members to promote the game. See bugfix log below.

I'll leave the previous one up because of the dense comment section and also because there's really no reason not to.

If you are a first timer, I recommend finishing the Masaru route using the free version here if you prefer a complete route experience and a murmuring a-a-ant-t-tangonist t-that talks l-like this. Otherwise, beach route content up to date is all here.

There are still some sound bugs that needs time to be filtered out in Masaru route for this version but the free version is a bugless experience and you won't miss anything. Simply don't do the beach route until you are done there. I am sorry for the trouble.

Version 0.34 features.

Story.

-> Storyline concludes Peach Garden visit and added 3 new animations.

-> One new long recollection with one new H scene (2 variations).

-> Outside of H stuff, new sprites and art.

Mechanics

Updated Phone Mechanics, New UI/UX menu. As of v034(v1.30) the phone jankiness is reduced.

What the new Phone menu does:

In certain scenes, the menu changes to imply something..this are mostly animated.

Can you spot the difference? I don't see anything different except the rice ball missing a grain.

Moving on,

Lockscreen mechanic now exists where a lockscreen will jumpscare when opening the phone at the right moments, it's short and you'll miss it if you blink but it exists to notify you to check the "Lockscreen" option. It's not the only thing that signals to you so don't worry too much about it.

Current variations: 3 fully animated ones.

A phone status will pop up at the top right, indicating that there might be something fishy with the phone.

This does not apply for the Masaru route, that'll take me an entire month to do and with how far the route is (some might even say completed), it'll be better to introduce new positions in this one first.

Kitchen:

Hot girlfriend aside, ever wanted to cook a 5 star meal with the tap of a button? Well now you can! Introducing the wholesome, slice of life, completely innocent cooking segment of the game. Chop, boil, wash and do everything you can do in other games but worse because everything here looks like it was drawn by a monkey in MS paint!

What's summer love without cooking with your girlfriend, am I right?

My promotional attempt lasted a whole 2 paragraphs.

But anyway, this isn't a complex minigame or a minigame at all really but is one of those moments where the player simply should not just be staring at the screen. New mechanic with a bunch of new animations. Designed for the nature of this game.

Bartending:

Remember how Math and Multiple choice questions made up Masaru's Minigame? Well, now you get Pictorial and also Multiple choice questions!

Juggle, mix, spray a grand total of 3 different types of alcohol in this minigame! The beach bar now really does feel like a bar instead of a restaurant. Show off your bartending skills by mixing a dangerously huge dose of alcohol that'll never ever victimize your customers. All the while your hot girlfriend admires your bartending prowess from a window near you.

As of this update, alcohol types are color coded. Hint: Red=Vodka. Brown/Orange=Rum. Silver=Gin. Simplified to reduce the need for memorisation.

Current bartending minigame variety and animations: 2 (stage 1) 3(stage 2) 2(stage 3).

Around 5-6 animations that has been, to the best of my ability, handrawn and crafted for your enjoyment.

New Character Sprites, New Side CharactersSave your customers from a boring summer!

The alcohol infused environment of the Beach Bar meant a lovely couple like the one above simply can't keep their passion, and their hands, off each other

New side characters incorporated into the story with their own pixel art scenes. Total number of pixel animations for New Side character 1: 3. New Side Character 2: 2(if you count variation).

Recollection Room

Done and up as of this version.

Considering how we're still some distance away from the point of no return, its insane how there's still no penetration. If you told me that a h game have you sink 7 hours into a game without any actual penetration scene, I won't have played it. Maybe. Oh my god I'm going to go into a developer crisis right about now.

Maybe. I don't care as much anymore since I think there's a bunch of content to sort of justify that and if anything, slow burn lovers and build up lovers will adore this. I hope you have so far.

Recollection room isn't just something you do in under an hour, it took me a day since the backlog is huge but hey, I pushed it off my back long enough that now's a good time as any.

Grab your latest version with recollection room here and for the save files, please refer to this post.

Bugfix log:

Fixed missing sound files, I don't know how that happened but there shouldn't be any missing sounds now.

Fixed Honda(drunk old guy) not acknowledging your inventory of Olive oil and seashells.

Fixed sound continues even after new NPCs faint.

Mentioned above, color coded the drinks.

Fixed black spots/squares scenarios.

Fixed Peach Garden immovability bug that happens on certain occasions.

Added a speech bubble prompt for Rimi's first encounter as a way to visually direct player.

No gamebreaking bugs, at least for all the content in beach route (for masaru, see comment above). Any minor or annoyance bugs will be fixed once reported over time. Post will be updated over time if its major bugs but there won't be any notification so as to not disrupt your peaceful days counting down when world war 3 will begin.

Thank you for your support, please, stay with me just a little longer before the coaster reaches the top and all brakes brake loose into adrenaline. Ahahaha.

Or maybe it'll plummet into a disaster, who's to say.

Thank you for your support so far, truly.

Very nice to see the recollection up to date (don't get me wrong I really love playing this route and this is my third playthrough through it but it's nice to have access to the peach garden scenes if you've seen the dialogues already).

Finally had the time to play the update. I usually don’t care for side characters that much, but I surprisingly enjoyed both of the beach bar ones. I think it was probably because it didn’t detract much from the main story line and felt pretty content-packed for the amount of time it took to introduce and go through their scenes - the mischief in having the MC effectively NTR others by doing seemingly innocuous things was also amusing to me (do we have a lobster = NTR mystical curse in SSP world?). I’m actually looking forward to seeing future scenes with them. The new cooking scene is… a bit of a stretch with the Z spamming personally, but I can see your greater intention behind the introduction of a wholesome scene. Beyond that, I will just reiterate that I indeed did not find the new phone mechanic that useful compared to all the other techniques and setups that have been used in the story already. I’d like to think that you don’t find the maintenance of the phone as enjoyable as everything else in the game… but I know people love suggesting this phone mechanic. I just don’t see the impact when I think you already have way more effective strategies. I.e. cutscenes/camera while working in the bar, using the story as a means of creating hidden/nearby NTR happening, keeping the MC nearby for real-time events. It’s “cool” to think about being able to use your phone to be alerted that something’s happening, but it also breaks immersion if you think about the MC’s phone just giving these flashes of events that are happening whenever he uses it - I’d always rather have more content and time put into scenes like how Shion x Jord developed while the MC was with Turbo and Jinnie. You still get the “phone viewing” excitement, but it’s way more creative and exciting; I always enjoy how interactive and innovative you are with the scenes, so well done on the multi-faceted play on MC’s past role as a manager trying to pick actions that garner the most support and viewer attention to making him NTR himself on the stream, while overlaying past stream events (lotion) onto Shion’s current state. I felt like more interesting content could have developed if the phone mechanic was pushed into the end-stage of development, but I do understand it could be useful when you have multiple routes potentially being active in the future. Personally, I would suggest finding a framework to retroactively add phone content (for events happening, just leave room in code to insert your little quick animation that relates to whatever is happening for future you) since you’ve already developed part of it. If it doesn’t take much more time than inserting said animation snippet with everything now set up, ignore what I said. In terms of content, I’ll believe in your commitment to the next update being denser for the amount of time. As long as there’s enough content, I think your pacing is great. As long as we don’t reinterpret slow burn into slow developer, I’m happy. Keep up the good work; excited to see your vision and creativity in seaming story with NTR!

The Prologue is bugged I think, There are some boxes blocking the character from interacting with the heroine. I had to use a no-clip cheat so that the MC could interact with the heroine in the prologue. plz fix later

fixed and done, much thanks!

Thanks for this. The phone taking away the suspense was something that hit me hard when I was halfway into making the animations. The time it takes definitely weighs considerably but more importantly it breaks the immersion of it being hidden away. Which is why I did nothing for Drex's part and also it's subtle but for peach garden at various points the phone doesn't change unless until for instance, you interact with the shadows in the curtains. Having it is overall a net good but when to use it is trickery by itself. So that'll be definitely considered going forward. Once again, thanks for the insightful comment and for your support!

I went through the recollection room and there are like 4 parts of the story I didnt even see while playing, (all the Jordan pov stuff), did I miss that much? Am I that stupid? Is this a problem with where you put those scenes? maybe they are hard to see and could be made easier to see or something. They add so much context lol

7RKguy

im actually surprised it was satisfactory even without them, I don't mean that in a bad way but I'm glad it added more. I think I slotted them at the very end of the update? I intentionally kept the memory energy away in Jords place until the cooking segment is over.

i want to have a complete save file of the recollection room so if anyone has it please share with me

Damn, I LOVED the side stories during the bartending events with the new characters, especially the one with the uncle and his nephew's girlfriend. The dialogue in those mini-stories was really good, good work on that. I hope you do more of these in the future if things improve in your personal life and you return with the game.
