Well, well, well.

Litrpg con was my first event, my first time travelling to the USA (since I was... 10?) and holy moly, a lot went down.

First off, I have to say a huge thank you to any of you here who came up and said hello, I know there's a few of you. It was awesome to chat to the readers of Chrysalis and Book of the Dead, shake your hand and say thank you in person for the awesome support.

Every panel I was on I was able to call out "for the Colony!" and get a warm response from the readers in the crowd which tickled me right on the aorta.

Met a lot of authors and had the opportunity to chat with them a bit, learn about their own views on writing, on the business side of things (which I have never thought of much, as you all know), and generally have funny interactions and good conversations.

Shoutouts to Haylock of Heretical Fishing. Brilliant chap as always, lovely to speak with and everyone's best friend.

Brian Nordon of Quest Academy. Hilarious man who I instantly connected with. Great guy to chat with, insightful and intelligent things to say when he isn't being absurdly funny.

HUGE shoutout to Benjamin Kerie of Death, Loot and Vampires and Oh Great! I was Reincarnated as a Farmer, who was so, so willing to spend any amount of time speaking to anyone who had questions about writing, publishing, the craft of storytelling and any other aspect of litrpg. The man has a huge reservoir of information and experience and was incredibly generous with it. Doesn't hurt that he's super friendly and just a great person on top of all that.

Of course there are so many more. Jez Cajiao, Rhett and Steve from Aethon, even got the chance to talk to Matt Dinniman briefly, who appears to be the most chill person on the face of the planet Earth, JD Glasscock and many, many more.

I think my biggest takeaway was just what an amazing community has sprung up around this genre. All the fans and readers were so friendly, so supportive that I didn't have a single bad interaction across the whole con. On top of that, all the writers and voice talent were very unpretentious, kind and open to talking and sharing about any aspect of the industry and their own work.

That's a very, very rare thing, in my experience.

Once I get home, it's back to work for me. We've got chapters that need writing, dammit! I'm well aware of exactly what you're owed and you are gonna get it!

There's also the Chrysalis special edition in the works along with merch coming, starting with the Anthony plush that has been long awaited.

A lot going on!

We need to have one of these in Europe too xD

Roombot

> Well, well, well. That’s a deep subject

Grim The Cat

It was great! You signed a core for me. :) and you were super funny in that one improve game!

I'm glad you enjoyed the con, con's are usually a lot of fun

RinoZ

Then Zogarth would need a new excuse for not showing up :D

RinoZ

It's happening. A Tier One Anthony plush is in the works and will be ready by Christmas I hope. If it sells well, we can look at doing a Tiny and Crinis plush as well. Sadly, the financials on plushes are TERRIBLE since they don't usually sell that well. Selling even 1000 would be a massive, massive success. If we can do that with the Anthony plush, then we can get more plushes for other characters made. I can't just force the merch guild to make more since they are the ones taking on the financial risk, not me

Mislandor

I was not able to go this year - but I am hoping to next!!

Gabus Deux

I hope you enjoyed our litt- our big shit hole :P

Seamole

That's a great idea! I was going to make a "book of the dead" since bookbinding is my hobby but I wasn't able to finish in time

Seamole

It was a great time! We will need For the Colony shirts and ant antennae headbands for next year! Learned a lot too. Not just about litrpg and writing but also that I need to travel with a non-heavy sleeper or else I'll be done for in the event of a real fire (the hotel's fire alarm went off at 1:30am)

Seamole

It actually shouldn't be hard to make them if I can find a 3D model of ant antennae online.

Scott Faulkner

no mention of your upcoming Scottish Cultivation novel I am disappoint. In all seriousness though con was great fun and was nice seeing all the great authors and VA there... and then the fire nation attacked. (there was a fire on the top floor of the hotel on Sunday nobody was hurt we all just lost about 3 hours of sleep).

What’s going on with Webnovel? Chapters keep disappearing.

Charles Mayet

Hey Rinoz glad u had a good time at the con. Just had a quick question. What is the time table for book 8 bc I bought the other 7 about 3 weeks ago and binge read them to now and am now done and wanted to keep reading but both web novel and royal road are not showing the chapters right after where book 7 finished?

Pockman

I’m happy you enjoyed the event! (I’m hoping to make it next time, so hope you’re there then too!)

Alessandro Mattioli

‘‘Twas a pleasure getting to converse with you at the con
