tyasia bonds

Hey, gang im making a creature from the youtube horror short “others side of the box” and was wondering if anyone had any ideas to help flesh out the creature, also highly recommend watching it(not sponsored) if you haven’t already.

Jam

Of all your characters, who would be best and worst at dance dance revolution?

starrysquid51

nikkie I love your homebrew changes in strahdanya and witchlight, how do you decide what you want to change?

Emily S

What's the witchlight crew (carnival and twig)'s sonic order. Inspired by the new unicorn slush 😌😌

Aidan | Xxxpresso

Has Gideon every attempted to cook for Kremy to impress him? Or is he banned from all cooking equipment

Mc_Whitty

What is one characteristic you believe you have with your witch light character?

Tic.Tic.BOOM!

If you ever had an opportunity to turn your campaigns into an animated series would you? And if so would you do witchlight or a different campaign?

FreeHugs

I'm running crooked Moon right now and I have to ask, how the fuck do you pronounce Thomasin Ardor?

Kimberly Lawrence

Since the king sent you out to retrieve the items from the witches, how more tasks have you been assigned? It is fun to fun to watch you all in an ADHD adventure. Look thread, oh, what’s that?🤣🤣🤣

Sarah List

I don't know why frosty is considered the least favorite I think he's a fun spin, like having a furry tiger form spock on the team.

Buildeman

I'm just curious how much "licorice" torbel has consumed over the duration of his life

RoombaCop

Just curious but what if everyone's favorite character to play, PC or NPC?

Weebinator69

If you guys could choose one of your characters to DM a campaign. Who would you guys choose??

Lunar

If each OUAW PC had their own YouTube channel what kind of content would they make?

SorenSilverblade

If you were to send one of your characters to GenCon in your place, who would you send?

Fright Knight

When will they use the magic item that allows them to break 3 fae packs that they recieved at the end of the carnival, or did I the viewer miss something

Queen_Victory

Can we get more of troll-toll gricko?

Jen Sample

What was it about Hootsie specifically that made Gricko want to save her over perhaps the other animals/beasts the carnival might have kept? And if he had the chance, would he have tried to 'liberate' them all?

Jen Sample

From my daughter Clarrissa- "What is each witchlight character's favorite color?" And "Does Torbek think different colored hoses are different flavors of 'licorice'?"

Jay Lauritsen

How has the journey so far changed your characters? Has anything that’s happened shifted how they think about themselves/ has their experiences changed what the future they imagine now at the end of their quest?

Trehz

As a muppet fan, I always appreciate y’all’s references. Have you ever considered doing a one-shot as your own original Muppets/puppets? As in both creating characters to play, and making puppets that would be on-camera. An Avantris plays: Puppets play D&D.

Steptical

Loa party of your choice vs. 100 gorillas, who are you picking?

cat_chase_dog

What two characters from different campaigns do you think would be fast friends / get along the best? And what two would immediately hate each other?

cat_chase_dog

Bouncing off this, which of all your characters do you think you are most similar to?

Cobalt Bluewaters

What would your characters favorite type of video game be? And what game from that type would they enjoy the most?

Morgan

Derek - Where are the Futurama references in every episode we were promised? I came for the laughs but I stay for the obscure jokes.

Evan L

Grýla

OpalEye 42

Not sure about anyone else but I pronounce it "Tom-a-sin Are-door"

AuraofOra

This question is for Nikkie since I got the guy's answers, but which one of your characters would you love to see as an inspired gown or look? I've already gotten sketches down and have started the embroidery for one!! And let's just say I hope the Maiden of the Mists and Yorgrim would be pleased!! xD

Froaaggy

Question for any of the DMs in the group- I’m a first time DM for my group who love to speed through campaigns while not necessarily trying to listen to the story, what’s the best way for me to slow my players down and or keep them interested? (Besides bringing it up with them)

CaityTheNerd

Kind of 2 questions in one but was it always the plan to add Torbek into the campaign when it already started or more spurr of the moment?? I assume his second appearance, when the crew finally made it to the Feywild, was intentional but I'm curious to know what character Andy would've played instead of Torbek

Jameson the Immortal Hoe

Question for Richie, it seems to be a somewhat running joke that you like to play some sort of alligator or crocodile. Are you a fan of crocodilians or just reptiles in general? Funny enough, my favorite animal are alligators

Ronan

What are some of y'all's favorite modules that you've played or read through? Looking for some good ones to DM with my group while working on my homebrew.

Misa Meesa

What's a mundane superpower power you guys have? Could be something simple like being doublejointed or being able to touch your nose with your tongue

Fright Knight

What songs do you associate with your characters if any? To me Gideon's is just P!NK's song Funhouse.

Ryn J

What's your favourite fight/battle in The Crooked Moon? (Enjoy your game! It's my birthday so I'm spending with family then going to bed for work tomorrow! 🖤)

Zephyr_Tree

Some of you have said that you would like to be a player in the universes of the games you DM/GM (Mace with Stardust and Andy with WFRP come to mind), so if you were a player in the campaigns you run what would the character build be? (I know you all have NPC’s but if you couldn’t use any of them)

Tastydoomtime

Question for all, which class would also compliment the theme of your characters? And which of your campaigns would work great as something similar to DMC5? (Really recommend risk of rain 2 or just it's ost)

ZandOtherThings

Would your characters be on theme if they were guests at the Met Gala, or would they fall into the “man in a plain black tux” camp?

TheHolyTower

When looking at the crooked versions of your PC's from the Crooked Moon, which of them do you think drew the short end of the stick and or ended up with the worst of it? Talking about their state when either the potential party first meets them or when they eventually meet their violent end.

InvertedRain

Which of your characters are most likely to get a tattoo? What would they end up getting? Who is the least likely to get one?

Rebelsaylor

If Carnivàle Lecroux went all out for its attractions/themes.. What would be each cast member favorite ride/attraction/themes?

ZandOtherThings

Which Breakfast Club archetype (the jock, the princess, the basket case, etc) would you characters fall into?

Da.void

If the party members of Witchlight were a food dish what would they be?

SpriteofGaia

If you the party members could switch classes with eachother who's class would you pick? For example maybe Torbek wants to be a druid >_>

Sam B

Who is older Richie or Mikey? Question for everybody, how did you get into role playing games?

Clone Andy

Have any of you started to play Expedition 33 yet?

Weird_Wallflower

If the LOA crew was in the Hunger Games, how do you think everyone would do? Who would be the mostly likely to die in the 1st 5 minutes? Who would die doing something dumb (eating something poisonous or trying to pet a Mutt)? Who would hide the entire time? Who would be expected to win, but end up dying? Who would be the most likely to hunt everyone else down? Who would be the unexpected winner?

Kalias Sondrie

So just to help my Autistic brain, I know that Nikkie said a few things last session that were different from what has happened in the campaign. One was that the party had the silver needle with them (when it was left in Pincushion and she was kind of forgotten about), the other being that the unicorn was actually the wooden rocking horse in possession of Scabatha and that the unicorn being in Yon was all a ruse and false memory. My question is, were these things changed on purpose and going forward the party has the needle after all and the unicorn being in Yon is now canon? Or were these mistakes/misrememberings (because it'd been so long) which will be rectified in the future? Thanks! <3

Sam8749

What is the plan for the next season of uprooted? also love the new OUAW layout!!!! much love <3

Lurozenk

I've been watching CoS and really loved that y'all wore cosplays of your characters, would you consider doing that for your campaign(s) again? Which of your characters would you like to do a cosplay of?

RkAngelRami

What has been the most heartbreaking / emotionally taxing moment from OUAW for each of you? Nikkie, too.

Luna_The_Creeper

Has mace ever passed out from laughing so hard?

mike_from_gentech

Finally starting prime (fully enjoying it btw). Who from that party, if any, do you think would get along with Carnivále Lecroux?

AnActualRubberDuck

If the Crew:tm: had to get real life careers, what do you guys think they would like to do? The 20th is my birthday! Do you have canon Birthdays for the crew? What would be their ideal birthday party/gifts? SORRY IF THIS HAS BEEN ASKED BEFORE!

MusicalDealer

What's each of the witchlight gang's favorite song? Like something they would sing in the fey equivalent of a shower.

OpalEye 42

Which sold higher: Chuckles Crooked Moon pin/badge or Chuckles YooTooz vinyl figurine?

Dukesteel9

What character(s) from your other campaigns would probably do the best surviving in the feywild?

whomstsnek

Hello Avantris crew!! Lots of love from a new patron <3 If there were vidya games in Avantris, what game(s) would be the OUAW characters' favs (if they would play vidya games at all)? What about the players + DM? 🤔

StatedNote

Rich, have you ever been into power lifting? In the past you've worn Norse fitness apparel and it's got me wondering. If so, are you still doing it / how long have you done it?

Kalias Sondrie

Sorry I meant session before last, apologies

Sceli_Boi

Sorry if this was talked about already, but is the Barbarian subclass in Crooked Moon based on Torbek?

Madeline Greulich

Do you have any advice for running a campaign for younger kids? Like only one of them is over 15. I'm worried I'll run out of session material to quickly.

Sol

How do you think parties from other campaigns would interact? For example the ouaw party and icebound party, would Kremy and Barnabos bond over cooking? Would Taishen and Gideon bond over fire?

Prince F-8

for mace, have u finished listening to curse of strahdanya/ where are you at in prime?

LeafyElfy

Would you guys be comfortable for someone to reach out to you personally to answers questions about your older campaigns? Completely writing curse of Strahdanya and I know Andy and Mikey specifically wanted to delve further into Sheps and Sarnax's relationship changing over the series

Roxanne Hennessy

Nikkie where's your lipstick from? I really like the color

Matthew

Big thanks to all but especially mace for making starust and giving me something to base my digital media final on! Also still beaming from that outfit compliment at the critmas show mace tysm <3. My question is when it comes to production of a big project like the crooked moon, what was the best way you organized your creative energy? I'm about to start a film project and need energy focus help badly lol

Jam

For SDR:Anthem, we saw Pyke and Retts instruments, do Ziggy and Ko have instruments? What are they?

RayneCloud_Creations

Hi there! long time listener first time asking a question! Are you guys ok with fan animations? I've been trying to storyboard a chunk of witchlight and thought to ask!

Clone Andy

This question is for Derek. Did you decide to ban certain spells like good berry, and create food and water in I rebound?

Jove

Oh have you seen the thunderbolts and if you have without spoilers what are your thoughts?

Hennis the Mennis

Assuming they survive the campaign, how do you think your characters die?

Diana Richardson

First time DM here I'm doing the witchlight campaign best advice to actually make it fun ?

Firerescue542

Anthem is appsulotely nuts I love it any thoughts on what if the guys and gal form 13 beers got sucked in to a video game at the local cheese for a level or to would be cool

Cas

How did you guys come up with your characters for OUAW? Also, because I'm binging Uprooted again right now, which OUAW character would you bring to the Root campaign if you could, or vice versa? And Nikkie, I love love love your hair!

Brielle Vanderfin

Not a question, however, I'm graduating with my master's next week, and I want to thank you all for being you and making Legends of Avantris what it is. I'm sure it wasn't easy, but it's been the ONLY thing keeping me going sometimes. I loved the role-play, your characters, the lore, the world, etc. You all are the best! Now I'll be doing D&D in therapy with kids! 😊

cat_chase_dog

What would be your next big dream project once you are done with Crooked Moon?

Soutarou Dreemurr

When planning a campaign, do y'all as DMs/GMs ask for a player to take on a specific background for story beat reasons? For example in Icebound, when Skrimm was locked in as a Warlock did Derek ask Andy for Skrimm to have Graveyard Jack as a patron, or did Andy want that for Skrimm already and Derek wrote the story to fit.

Clone Andy

100 grylas making an attack against a single PC would result in that 3rd level character with about 25 HP. The next round 98 grylas make an attack against one PC, that PC dies, so on and so forth. A third level party has no chance against a DM that focus fires…. Not a chance.

Arlo Lee

Do you have any specific music/musicians you associate with your OUAW chracters? Any playlist recommendations for them?

ButtchugTheClown

Could you guys sign the box of the chuckles figure for people who buy it?

Bryoni Rose

I love you guys so much! I’ve been binge watching some studio hang outs while I get work done they’re amazing to just have and listen to when I’m having a hard time focusing ! I have a joke for you guys. Whats the difference between a dirty transit station and a lobster that’s had plastic surgery? Ones a crusty bus station the other is a busty crustacean. I hope you get a laugh like the ones you give me 😂

Clone Andy

I will say this, an Assassin Gloomstalker Bugbear with the 2014 Sharp Shooter would be able to use cunning action and his invisibility to single handily take out 100, 200, 500, a thousand enemies by kiting them.

Ben Moller

I am a powerlifter and I heard Richie did powerlifting at some point? Anyone else do any cool sports or sports style stuff

Craigus_felos

no question just wanted to say that nikki is right EBOLA FTW never thought id say that........

ButtchugTheClown

You can watch everything everywhere all at once, for rent on Amazon prime or get tubi and watch it on there

GRIMM

nikkie how do we feel about the walking in a witchlight wonderland crew fighting 100 gorillas,,,,,,,

Diana Richardson

I am having trouble getting my patreon to connect to discord and twitch

Drift

Everyone seemed to be on their a-game during OUAW last week, especially Derek. Do you all do anything specific to mentally prep yourselves right before a session of D&D (besides the streamed pre-session shenanigans)?

HobbitShoe

I say go for it. When you have time, hop onto their YouTube channel. You'll see some fan-animated shorts they've liked so much, they added it to the official Avantris page.

ButtchugTheClown

Are all of you able to sign the chuckles boxes? I'd love it as memorabilia.

thecomander

I’m honestly surprised Mikey didn’t make a Ratsputin joke when climbing the kite

HobbitShoe

Would y'all consider an underwater one-shot with this party?

whomstsnek

How did cooking become such a big part of Kremy's character? Was it something that had been planned/thought out from the get go, or something that had been developed during the game?

MaDoRoMi

less a question and more me just gushing about Saltmarsh since I'm currently going through that, I think that would make a REALLY good animated series as well since its very visual in its sessions. Very episodic as well in a good way.

Kyle Hutchings

Best moment of the night. One word: Greninja.

Vi

Tell Derek that he's my fav xD I love his voice and humor Also Andy's lol I love the voice and personality of torbek

Espo7364

I subscribed on patreon to share this. Ok so for the 1 billion lions vs all pokemon debate. Assuming we are going based off the rules set being, the use of core game rules, and the lions are considered normal types and are limited to only using normal type moves. After a few minutes of research I’m happy to say we don’t need one of every pokemon, we just need ONE Pokemon. That one pokemon is Tevenant. Trevenant, being a ghost/grass type cannot be hit by the lions, but it gets more interesting than that. Trevenant has access to the ability harvest, which allows a 50% chance to regenerate a berry after it is used in battle every turn. The game has a berry called the leppa berry. The leppa berry restores 10 pp to a move. This means with the pp restoration, the immunity to the lions attacks, and access to the move earthquake, Trevenant can solo 1 billion lions. The next question is how long would it take? Again going based off core game rules, generation 6 had this fun game mechanic of hoard battles, where a wild encounter would have 5 pokemon total. This means the maximum number of lions Trevenant can hit with one Earthquake at a time is 5. Assuming Trevenant is knocking out each lion in one turn per encounter then that means it would take (1,000,000,000/5) 200,000,000 in game turns for Trevenant to wipe out all the lions. To spice it up more let’s put that into D&D standards. A round of combat is 6 seconds long so that’s (200,000,000x6) 1.2 billion seconds, which is 20,000,000 minutes, or 333,333.33 hours, that’s 13,888.88 days, resulting in a continuous battle for just a smidge over 38 years. The average lifespan of a female lion is 15-16 years and a males is 8-10. This is good news for a Trevenant because this means he’ll only have to fight roughly one third of the 1 billion lions. Thank you for your time.
