What monster/myth/legand would you like to have as a dnd monster

What system/resource do you use to create and manage your world building/campaigns? I am currently moving from paper and pen to my computer to store everything but I am having a hard time adjusting. Love the inspiration that you all give! Can't wait for Crooked Moon!

NEON NIGHTS: What are some common "mistakes" (I know some "mistakes" can be fun for some people but shhh-) you see new dms make when they start out, whether it be story wise or running encounters, and what advice would you give them to help them out? Side note, by the time stream is going I'm about to or am dming for my second time ever, and I wanted to thank you for giving out tips and calming my nerves so I have a little more confidence going in. NEON NIGHTS: As someone relatively new to the world of dnd, I've seen many players talk about how they often have characters in mind that they'll most likely never be able to play, and it confuses me. What are some things that make a character unplayable? Hope you guys are having a great evening!

WITCHLIGHT: So I recently discovered a discussion about having characters level up asynchronously based either on personal character story milestones or to help balance the party out for combat. So instead of the entire party being level 5 three characters would be level 4, one would be level 5, one would be level 6, and one would be level 3. What do you feel about that?

NEON NIGHTS: kind of a goofy question & not super relevant so you can save it til the end if you want, but - do you have any bloopers and/or outtakes from the curse of strahdanya table read you all voice acted in for the ennies, or anything else that was pre-recorded? would those ever be shared, like, in the style of a blooper reel?

Neon Nights: if we get the horned king dice as an add on anyway and back with in 72 hours will we get an extra set or will the add on be free?

Neon Nights: What about surprises?!? I understand build up but what about when you want something to be out of the blue? Can there be a plot point/ character that doesn’t need building up to be a pivotal part of the story? Thanks!! You guys kinda answered this already so up to you if you want to do this one.

NEON NIGHTS: This has actually been bothering me for a while and I’ve been meaning to bring it up for months and tonight is a great time! Let’s see if I can find a way to put this into words that make sense. So much of successful storytelling is foreshadowing and setting up those dominoes that make everything all worth it. But DnD is still a game of collaborative storytelling with an element of chance with dice. You as the DM aren’t in full control of the story. How do you set up that foreshadowing in a way that isn’t at risk from the players taking things in unexpected directions? There’s so many things that can go wrong with finding things too late or early or just missing it entirely. Is foreshadowing something you can improv and adapt on the fly? How does that work?

Neon Nights: How do you decide when the players have waited enough? How do you end the narrative in that sweet spot where they have earned it but it has not taken too long?
