Good afternoon, Patrons! We are super excited to bring you another episode of Icebound tonight! As is tradition, feel free to put your questions down below and we will address as many of them as we can during our coffee breaks. Thanks again for all your support, and we'll see you soon!

The Avantris character creation process is legendary by now, I was wondering if anyone had a specific character idea they were going to play before changing to their current character? Besides not having characters of the same race allowed were there any other rules or guides for characters in this campaign?

BabaYagasChickenToes

Will the Tales from the Ice episodes continue? I'd pay money to see a level one pig bro try to fight a herald of fear

AJB

Icebound is so wonderfully unsettling to watch. Every episode leaves us with more questions, and strips away the answers we thought we’d figured out! The experience reminds me of watching ‘Brazil’ or ‘City of Lost Children’ where everything could be real… or nothing could be. What reality blurring stories inspire you?

SorenSilverblade

To all the cast: If you had to spend your holidays in one continent or city in Avantris, which one would you like to visit? Which places would you definitely not want to visit for the holidays?

Madison Friesen

What was your favourite part of the WintersTales stream? Also I will say, it was fun to watch last night.

Clad

Hi everyone, I just joined your patreon yesterday at the Pearl Dolphin level so this is my first question ever. I have a question for Derek. What would you say were your biggest inspirations for Icebound? Also for Mikey, the Grim Hollow book is my go to for monsters now so I definitely recommend it. I saw that you asked about it in the Crooked Moon discord.

cat measurer

Looked up good winter questions, What is your favorite winter activity?

Ivy99999

When you were creating character for Icebound, was there anything that was disallowed straight off the bat? Like races, spells, feats, etc.

Ivy99999

Do you guys have any plans to come to cons in Canada in the upcoming year?

Emerald Spires

What is the best way to get a convention organizer to consider sending you guys an invitation? You have said before that the best way to get you guys to a new con is to reach out to said convention, but I've never tried to suggest guests to any cons before and am unfamiliar with the process.

BeckyFalcon

What’s your go-to “it’s not Christmas without it” movie? Mine is Christmas Vacation because literally just about everything that happens in that movie has happened to my family at one point. Also! I’m driving to the beach with my mom and this is her first time seeing/hearing you guys play! She says hi and wants to know if Mace has seen the Muppets yet. I showed her the Muppets short and she was scandalized that he’d never seen them LOL

Tycav918

I’ve just recently started playing D&D, how do y’all prepare for sessions as players and as a DM?

bulbabum

I've said it before in the discord but I want you to know that BDW is how I found you all in the first place early last year and is what got me hooked in the first place. It has a special place in my heart and to see it return and get its finale is possibly the best present I can get this holiday. I love yall so much and I am STOKED to see the Freedom's Wings final battle.

ThePeeg

Who is your favorite character to play, because of their quirks, idiosyncrasies, or personality?

ALoversRose

Are we sure BDW and Saltmarsh returning aren't just a plot for Mikey to not be overtaken by Nikkie in DM hours? XD

Jacky_alltrades

Are your BDW characters going to go through much more 'Avantris Process' before you start playing them again? I love them all but I know you guys have changed a lot since you made them!

Rippa_Wildthorn

So, in this series there is a lot of weight put on the land and how it is reacting to the characters. Ie the results of Cannibalism. Is there a true sense of land as a presence or is it more gods of the land/ of Avantris as a whole that is influential to the party. I understand that the characters are being nudged by their own influences but is the threat to this party and Drakkar so great that the land itself is reacting to the danger and also playing a part in the story??

Fungus Clown

I went into a brain hole thinking about nature based horror because of icebound and started thinking of deep sea horror. What's your opinion on deep sea stuff like that bc I feel like there's untapped spookies potential in that deep unknown

mythofhephaestus

hey guys !!! this is so silly (im a rather new patron) but will avantris and chill be on here or on twitch? i love your guys’ campaigns, they are so cool and i love the storytelling !!! makes me so excited to play dnd myself :]

Kevin Cohen

If all of Avantris was to start today, would you prefer to go chronological or the way it has been going where every campaign jumps around the timeline?

Jacky_alltrades

Since the other DM's have themed backdrops now, will Mike have a themed ironing board cover for saltmarsh?

Jacky_alltrades

Derek: can you tell us please what the fleenflel sports announcers look like?

Kevin Cohen

Out of all your characters, who has been the most fun to use in combat? Doesn’t have to be fully mechanics, but can also be group dynamics

ALoversRose

So Derek, can you ease inquiring minds...how far away from Daisy has the party traveled?
