Good Afternoon, and happy new year Patrons! Thanks for all you've done for us and we're looking forward to a great start of the year. Tonight is our first session of the year with Icebound! Ask us your questions below and we'll answer as many as we can during our breaks! Thanks and we'll see you soon!

For Derek: I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but I have to ask. (MAJOR spoilers for ep 16 if that matters) Did you intentionally choose a choral arrangement of Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber, a piece famously associated with immense tragedy, to be playing as background music during the reveal of the pipe organ created using the Vassals' stolen voices? Because holy hell, that was one of the most gut-punching and brilliant moments of storytelling I've ever experienced. I was speechless. I think about it at least 8 times a day.

Kat

What were your first di and characters like?

teddie laundry bear

Hey fam!! good to see you guys again! hope your Christmas and new years were fun! (and hope Andy's birthday was great!) Question: What would you say the funniest and or most fun moments of last year were? I've had some pretty funny ones, and some things that were just overwhelmingly fun. You guys are awesome, hope this new year is as exciting as last year!! <3

Madison Friesen

Does all the shipping between your all characters ever get to be too much?

Mathieu Robichaud

for Derek : How much time did you spend preparing for the Wendigo part?

BabaYagasChickenToes

Question for players: if your characters were to ever leave Drakaar and live long lives, what would their ideal retirement look like? Where would they go and what would they do with their lives once they've finished adventuring and fulfilling their goals? Would they settle down and have families, get jobs (not likely for Skrimm lol) etc

BabaYagasChickenToes

Would you guys ever consider going to a UK/European con in the future?

BabaYagasChickenToes

Question for Mike the God of the world: the dms in the group have obviously spent a lot of time world building in different continents of Avantris (eg BDW and Striga, Prime and Karkinos, Icebound in Drakaar etc), what continent would you like to see explored more in the future?

Kit Williams

When it comes to the wendigo, can it be canonically named Felpip(even though it's the crewmates)

Prodeucer freaky INC.

Hello, frens! Hope your holiday respite was holly and/or jolly! For the man of the hour (or rather the hour that has lapsed by 4) Can I get a Skr-insperational quote (words of "wisdom" from Skrimmblo) to put on my room's whiteboard? (Doesn't have to be serious by any means, hence the quotation marks) Also, a glitch in the matrix that I noticed: my first name is one letter off your last name (chosen long before I knew of y'all, inspired by Finnick from the Hunger Games, actually), often when I am new to any class or thing that has an attendance sheet I am called "Flynn" the first couple of times because of how I spell it. Also, I have pretty much the same natural hair color and style as you, and my birthday is Febuary 1st. Where's Bitsy when ya need her, huh? *something cryptic about the Illuminati* All goofs aside, hope you have a gr8 first session, and here's to many more!!! <3

Not sure if you answered since I’m still behind on all you content, but a question for any of you, how do you think your other characters would be in icebound?

bulbabum

To continue on with my question from a bit back on your PCs as MTG cards; What would each of the Icebound gang's color identities be if they were a card in the game? I love hearing you guys discuss your thoughts on them.

Themagisterj

Is first strike a custom ability/spell?

KillerBirdee

What was y’alls favorite movie you saw in 2023? Mine was either The Boy and The Heron, Talk to Me, or The Holdovers

Ivy99999

😂😂😂

Ivy99999

Derek, will you ever share your playlist collection for Icebound? It's so thematically perfect and I love it.

Ivy99999

Do all of your characters have cannon birthdays, and do any characters not know their own birthday?

Ivy99999

On that trend, I know you guys have talked before about favourite holidays and traditions, but do your characters have any?

Ivy99999

Do you any of you know how to drive a motorcycle or scuba dive? Would you ever want to?

Danielle T.

How excited is everybody for Mikey to DM again?

Ivy99999

Derek, I'm only on Ep 20, and knowing how many possibilities you prep for, is there anything the party did that you weren't prepared for other than them gaslighting the ogres?

Yamikittycat

Are you worried that one day you’re channel is going to get so big you won’t be able to connect with the fans anymore?

Yamikittycat

Do you have a favorite studio mug?

Yamikittycat

How much are you allowed to say about how the crooked moon is going? Interested for some updates if you can give them!

SorenSilverblade

Happy belated birthday to Andy! Out of interest, what do you think would happen is Skrimm ever got stuck in the Feywild and ran into Torbek? They seem a rather similar type of character. Both of them are Goblinoids, rather cowardly, cursed with powers they don't fully understand, and often become the butt of everyone else's jokes. Just curious. Looking forward to sharing a new year with the gang.

BeckyFalcon

What is the weirdest food combo you’ve seen/have? My grandpa used to put ketchup on his pancakes, sometimes with the syrup, and I have yet to find anything that trumps that lol

n0ze_

Mike: What's the difference between an Old Fashioned, and a Ye Olde Fashioned?

BiggPooki

I have asked this question before but this time everyone is here. How many grapes could you eat in a life or death situation if given 20 minutes? Personally I think 200 is a lot.

Jericho Numi

I wasn't able to ask this last month, but Derek is there any chance you've played/read The Metro 2033 series of games/books? The sled section felt very Metro (seemingly endless waves of relentless enemies that just won't die jumping on your cart trying to fuck your shit up). A+ section that had me freaking the entire time.

Kevin Cohen

If you were to stumble upon your own content from a fans perspective, what content do you believe would catch your eye or interest?

BeckyFTW

So Skrimm just said the dog will be there when he leaves this word but, when he died during the wendigo fight, did he see the dog beast?

NovaTheBomb

Just to be a troll, I have to ask - Derek, why did you let them use water on a grease fire??

Yeetusdeletus

For everyone - looking back on previous episodes of all your dnd games have you ever had a moment you regret not having your character do? Or a fight you wished not happen?

Ayla Perkins

Finished COS about a week and a half ago (cried during the finale while on my lunch break at work) and started watching BDW- I just wanted to know how much information pre-session the players know when planning such an integral rp moment for a campaign. Do you guys sit down and have a chat about what you guys are thinking for your reactions or is it almost all on the spot improv?

Nuclear Bleu

How many kobolds could Barnabos kill if they came at him in a single file line?

ThePeeg

If you could switch charactera in Icebound whom would you choose?

NovaTheBomb

Do your characters have any superstitions or beliefs that are unrelated to their religion/culture?

Jacky_alltrades

Feel free to not answer, but: will new Poros have a Braum accent still, or a Greek accent?

ALoversRose

Well Hai crew, Happy New Year! Are there plans for the COS crew to ever return in a substantial manner? I have been deeply enjoying my first watch of COS and wanted to know if there are any plans with them at all or are they "retired" from anything but one-shots?

Emerald Spires

For Monday's stream, I assume the link will be in the Patreon, but what service will you be streaming through?

R. Condon

Are the Icebound party sufficiently (trauma)bonded to try to keep in touch after their adventure?
