Who owns an N64 console? I’m considering starting a Summercart64 giveaway every so often. I don’t want to leave some supporters out tho. Especially the ones who have supported the most.

EDIT:

Summercart64 has all the features of the EverdriveX7 besides GameShark code support and “most recent/last game” options (currently). Maybe a few more small differences.

SC64 benefits:

78MB ROM limit compared to EDs 64MB.

Menu UI can display a preview thumbnail after selecting a game.

Roughly $100 VS EDs $150-$250 range depending on the source.

I have a console, but no idea what the difference is between an Everdrive or a Summercart

Hey mate! I have a couple. One PAL and the other NTSC Japan. This sounds amazing and I would love to have one if I get the chance to!

Mark Simpson

I have a pal console very intrigued by the differences the rom size expansion will make to your projects

Mike R

Well that would be amazing if you did. Still have my N64 hooked up in thr basement.

I only play on console. I could definitely use a summercart64 😎

Nick

I only game on an original N64

Mykal 'The Fiend'

For sure! I own my original from my kid days lol!

Im console only but who knows if Canada's postal service will ever stop their strike lol. I don't want to hear your thoughts on the Summercart as you sink your teeth into it compared to Everdrive. If/when you switch to the extra file size the Summercart provides I'm definitely planning to buy one, can just gift my Everdrive to a friend if it covers everything an X7 can do

Hungry

Clearly that was supposed to read "do want to hear your thoughts".

I have a console. This would be a kind gesture for us. Im happy to support your great work revolutionizing the best wrestling game series ever.

N64 console only here.

Change the Everdrive save file extension from .fla to .sav That’ll do it.

I own multiple N64 consoles. Nothing beats playing on an actual N64 console with the original controllers. I wish the SummerCart64 was around when I bought an EverDrive 64 because I might have bought that instead with the cheaper price point. I paid almost $200 for my EverDrive 64.

The SummerCart64 is better than an EverDrive 64 in every way. 1. SummerCart64 is open source, so anyone can work on their own projects for it. It can receive non-stop updates and forks from many different developers. EverDrive 64 is closed source, meaning only the creator (Krikzz) can improve it and release new firmware for it. Because the SummerCart64 is open source, anyone can make and sell cartridges for it, so you can find them on AliExpress for dirt cheap, like $40, whereas an EverDrive X7 sells for $159 through Krikzz's website. 2. SummerCart64 loads games faster than an EverDrive 64. 3. An EverDrive 64 can't read N64DD (.ndd) files. They have to be converted to .n64 or .z64 format in order to work. SummerCart 64 can run .ndd files natively. Combo games (N64 cartridge + 64DD disk) and multi-disk 64DD games are also supported. 4. SummerCart64 can switch between NTSC/PAL automatically, depending on what region of game you're playing. On an EverDrive 64, you have to manually switch between them in the menu. 5. SummerCart64 has an sc64deployer app to change/update the firmware via USB, so you don't need to remove the SD card from the flash cart and insert it in to your computer every time you want to change/update the firmware like you have to do with an EverDrive 64. 6. SummerCart64 has better support for homebrew development (if you're a developer.) 7. SummerCart64 can display box art. 8. SummerCart64 can play MP3 files. It's not something I care to do, but I still think it's cool that MP3s are able to be played on an N64. If you don't already own an N64 flash cart, I highly recommend buying a SummerCart64. If I didn't already own an EverDrive 64, I'd totally buy a SummerCart64.

Of course I own an n64 and all AKI Games :D

ANTHONY THOMAS

Can I get directions for using mupen64 from playstore to add version 3 anyone

Zach George

I own a n64 with the big 4 aki games. but I have a question, if money is not an issue what should i get ED X-7 or the SC64?

Retro Randy Price

SC64. My ROM hacks will soon be exclusive to SC64 and emulators because they allow for ROMs larger than 64MB.
