Last updated 05/01/2025Now Includes ED64 patch version, boxart for SC64 and fix to Avalanche Powerbomb back corner grapple. Updated the main menu background.This is a preview ROM of the ECW Mod. Still an early work in progress. I plan to release weekly patch updates as I include more features, characters and arenas. If anyone wants to make missing move sets to CAWs and share your save file in the community chat that would be welcome.Name changed from "Bound by Blood". That name is being used by someone else. In game free roam camera WIP (button commands not fully functional yet when angles are far from original position)

FREE ROAM CAMERA CONTROLS:

TURN OFF CAMERA ON PAUSE SCREENWhile unpaused:Z+C buttonsZ+L/RZ+D-pad U/DReset by turning camera on and off again.

First timer here. So im trying to do the patch for my SummerCart and i keep getting this message. xdelta: target window checksum mismatch: xd3 invalid input, and please verify the source file with sha1sum or equivalent. im at a loss here sorry about im new to this

Was the save file included? I can't find it.

This is new to me. Is it possible you’re using the wrong base ROM? It must be NM version 1.0. Not 1.1

It only requires a save file for the Everdrive version, which isn’t included.

Right that’s what I thought I got I made sure to avoid 1.1. Maybe I need to dig some more to find 1.0

No worries man. I play Emulation Station via RetroArch but think I've had to use the ED route in the past for NM+. Still stoked on the project for sure.

Ah yeah that’s right. Does the RA core not work for you? That’s what’s supposed to make it work on there. I don’t recall.

I've tried and can play around a bit more, right now it crashes on launch but it's all good man. There are always kinks to work out. I work in IT and understand what it must be like deploying a new mod.

It might be an emulator issue. As usual I haven’t encountered this on PJ64 or console on my end.

Vims lair had it last I checked. You have to use a drop down selection to change it to 1.0.

Please provide more detail so I can help. What are you trying to play it on? Summercart, a specific emulator? What happens when you attempt to load the game?

Summercart. I just download file to phone & then copy to SD card. It's worked for with all other Roms like this for me. Not home at the moment so can't remember exactly what error said on Summercart.

Absolutely! Gotta have barb wire matches with a title like "Born to be Wired". I still need to make a handful of barb wire interaction animations and implement blood on more body locations and ring mat. I'll likely get to work on this in the next few weeks.

It's rare these days that something genuinely exceeds your expectations, especially when they are pretty high to begin with! Considering this is "only" a first preview it's nothing short of incredible 👏👏 No idea how many hours has gone into this but they are all appreciated! As a massive fan of the original ECW, this project is so exciting 👍👍

Haven't tried yet on the ED, but it plays great on Classic Boy and Mupen 64 emulators on android

Thank you for this Randy. Quick question. Do you need an expansion pak to play this one on original hardware and an Everdrive x7? I'm really excited to play this one!

You do need an expansion pak. EDx7 works but won’t t be compatible forever. Summercart64 currently works best for console.

Will ECW eventually not work on EDx7? So far its working and so is No Mercy Plus.

As long as the game can be under 64MB. If it ever grows above it, it won’t be EDx7 compatible. Should be a while.
