June News: this month saw the start of Season VI of BiffaCraft and it's been going great! So many fantastic builds popping up all over. But the main thing, as always, is that everyone is so welcoming of new members & everyone get's on together so well.
I am so glad that you can have fun on our server :-)
Games Update: Cities Skylines has been going well as a daily series so that's carrying on for the foreseeable future. SipaTea City is expanding fast.
Oxygen Not Included is back this weekend and will alternate with Mercury Fallen for a few days. Mercury fallen really reminds me of Life In Bunker, the underground, survival, base building game. It's in early alpha, but some fun was had for a few episodes.
Oxygen also has a new update coming withing a few weeks. I watched a dev stream last night and am loving the new additions. One of which is disease & germs...yuck!
Dirt 4 was fun while it lasted but I really don't have an audience for driving games, so after a few episodes that had to be canned. Hey ho.
Community Inc will return once game breaking things (like rain killing everyone...) is ironed out. If peaceful mode worked I would have tried that just to progress and try things...but it doesn't! Yay, early access :-)
I'll also be throwing in the odd VR game here and there and they were reasonably well received, for something totally new and different on my channel. I am hoping to get Star Trek Bridge Crew and have a collab in mind for that.
Many people ask about Astroneer - as soon as more things are added to the game I will dive back in, but I didn't want to get totally bored of it doing the same thing over and over and over. It'll be back ;-)
I have some other future games on my radar but nothing concrete yet, will fill you in when they get closer.
Channel News: With Cities Skylines Mass Transit, last month was very good on my YT channel: views, subs etc were up which was fantastic.
Things have slowed a touch this month, but that's ok. With new game updates (and maybe new games) on the horizon, things will pick up again.
We've sailed past 160,000 subs too! 200k soon-ish, maybe? :-)
Personal News: This month has been a bit odd, due to my Dad's operation being cancelled last minute, but then on again next week. I will be taking a few days off to help out and then see what happens. My son was also pretty ill with his asthma last night & had an overnight stay at the hospital. He's back home now and tucked up in bed and I'm sure he'll be fine in a day or two.
I've also FINALLY ordered myself the new PC I've been planning for a loooong time. Long time.
I currently have a pre-built Acer PC that I upgraded to an i7 4790k, 32GB Ram & GTX 970. The new PC will be a Ryzen 1700 8 core & can be easily overclocked to 4.0Ghz or more, this will be fantastic for video rendering. Also 32GB Ram plus a GTX 1080, 240GB SSD for OS & 2TB HDD for storage, plus a HDD out of my old PC.
At the moment I render most of my videos on my i7 laptop behind me, which sounds like an airplane about to take off when it does!
The plan is to sell my old PC as it is and my i7 laptop, use the new PC for everything. Plus I bought myself a lightweight 13" laptop so I can do a few things in the house when I need to, without having to come all the way down to the office.
(If you're interested I got this laptop - I love it!)
I also still have to gut my old Mini Windows Home Server, which lives under our stairs and serves up music & media to the house, and put all the parts into the much larger case with the Xeon CPU & extra 2x 8TB HDD's I have had sitting here for months....anyone able to post me some spare time???
Anywho - that about wraps up a look back at June. Some ups, some downs, some exciting things to come - but always with you lovely guys n' girls here along for the ride.
A big heartfelt thank you from myself, my wife and the BiffaBoys for your continued support on this fantastic journey!
- Biffa <3 :-)
