Dyatlov Pass, Yuba County Five, and the Khamar Daban Incident. Each of these harrowing stories details a group of individuals traveling through the arctic conditions only to disappear, leaving few clues in a bewildering story. Today's case is no different: the Chivruay Pass Incident.

Sensitive topics: death

Head of and sole member of the Stick and Hoop R&D department. Still haven't found a better pass time. Could use another member to bounce ideas off of, but I don't expect to find something better or more innovative.

Phage

So so excited for this!! ❤️🕸️

I love the new music! It really fits the vibes, it's mysterious and a bit unsettling but without triggering instant anxiety like the previous one 😅 Great episode, happy Monday task force!

Catylotl

even if they couldn't pitch the tent, they still could've gotten in it to conserve heat and keep the snow off. I think hypothermia and delirium had already taken over and didn't think they were in danger unfortunately.

I live well inside the Artic Circle (Finland but still identical climate) and I can confirm that we have a TONNE of mosquitoes. It gets worse the more north you go up to a point. I do have to also clarify, Trevor, that you feeling warm/hot during skiing isn’t a milder experience of the early symptoms of hypothermia. Thats just your body getting warm from activity. The feeling of warmth from hypothermia is actually quite different and by the time you’re feeling it, it’s generally too late.

Its seems like this is just a case of people getting hit by a storm and it costed them their lives. Though do to the autopsies not being released and the fact the eyes were the only thing removed does raise questions since it would explain some of the things that happened. I mean if an animal did take the eyes it would be easy to prove.

Bryce Thronson

I really dig the new intro music. It's a good vibe

SaraSuzyCake

I am loving the new music! Great episode! I love theorizing about this, as part of me wants to think the government is always involved, but it makes sense that they might not have been withholding info for testing, but because of an employee with secret info was involved and they were just trying to maintain that - not as nefarious, but still involvement.

Lochs

What a fire episode 👏 🔥

Haste

Finally, someone else who has seen Devil's Pass lol

Marc Anderson

Will the podcast be audio only on patreon or will there a video form to see the photos you talk about instead of going to twitter to look at them when you talk about them.

RoboTheHobo

Give us a year and we'll remodel this cabin to be as big and elaborate at the one from "Cabin in the woods" monsters and ghoooouls in those cages and all

I wonder if leylines make you MORE likely to be susceptible to magnetic changes in your brain or sightings of strange or alien creatures etc?🤔

Adrienne

[this comment explicitly describes eye damage.] i know this is an older episode, but i can't help but comment on a relisten- there is literally zero mystery about the eyes being missing. the eye is made up mainly of liquid, namely saltwater; when the liquids in the structure of the eye are frozen, the cell walls are damaged and the structure is compromised. the saltwater may be able to drain at this time, since it remains liquid at lower temperatures, but certainly if at any time the temperature raises enough for the eyes to thaw, the structure is deformed or entirely collapsed. it's also common for eyes to go missing or be damaged very quickly after death at normal temperatures, simply because they're fragile. (and very easy to eat.) a lot of "mysteries" are created by inexperience or lack of willingness to consider the way bodies typically decompose.
