As earned in last year's 5 Year Stream, Red Web is planning to hit the road for a ghost hunt far from home! Now's your time to shine, ghoul lovers. Help us decide!
EDIT: It looks like Waverly Hills Sanatorium was booked out for ALL of 2026 within a week of opening their books on January 1. 🤯
Full disclosure: The results of this poll will heavily inform the direction we go with the ghost hunt. However, we also have to juggle location availability with our personal schedules and other travel logistics like flight and hotel availability. That said, we'll do our best to accommodate the results of this poll, so we've opened it to multiple choice voting.
If nothing else, you have a sneak peek at our top 5 locations, and we will certainly be going to ONE of these! You heard it here first! 🤫
In no particular order, we have:
Saratoga County Homestead: Once a sprawling tuberculosis sanatorium, this abandoned New York facility is now a hotspot for reports of disembodied voices and shadow figures echoing through its decaying medical wards.
Waverly Hills Sanatorium: Famous for its "body chute" used to transport the deceased, this Kentucky hospital is considered one of the most haunted places on Earth due to the thousands who perished there from the "white plague."
Moundsville Penitentiary: This Gothic-style West Virginia prison saw over a century of riots and executions, leaving behind a heavy atmosphere and frequent sightings of the infamous "Shadow Man" in the boiler room.
Madison Seminary: Originally a school that transitioned into an asylum for Civil War widows and their families, this Ohio building is reportedly home to the spirits of those who suffered under its state-run care.
Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary: Hidden in the mountains of Tennessee, this maximum-security prison once housed James Earl Ray and is now known for the aggressive, lingering energy of the hardened inmates who may still reside in their cells.
