I love when I'm on the same wave length as Fredo. As soon as the story mentioned the thing coming from the trees I couldn't help but say out loud, "It's an angler fish." The author of this story could give Lovecraft a run for their money, holy crap this was creepy.

I just have to say Trevor has a really good creepy kid voice.

Captain Slippery

I felt an Old Gods of Appalachia from this one.

I may be in the minority here, but I don’t know that I loved the constant interruptions to discuss what was going on with the story. It would probably be more apt to say that I have mixed feelings on it. On the one hand, I really enjoy hearing what is going through y’all’s heads as you digest small chunks of the story, but on the other hand it really disrupts the flow and pacing of the story. I feel like the focus becomes he commentary, not the scary story. I’m not sure what the solution there is. Could y’all release 2 versions? One with the story uninterrupted and maybe one mystery science theater version with the chunked out commentary? Just thoughts. Really enjoying the scary stories though so I hope it stays for good.

Kind of chuckled about the creature being upset that humans have gotten so smart immediately followed up by Trevor talking about primal instinct. Like my guy, you taught us to be smarter
