Detailing the odd Japanese case of the Fukushima Toilet Death and the conspiracy theories that followed, ranging from village and work tensions to a political coverup.

On a cold, winter day in Japan, a woman settled into her quarters after a long day of teaching. However, her evening would be anything but peaceful. In her toilet, she would find a floating shoe, one that she would discover belonged to the deceased man trapped inside her septic tank. What unfolded after that led to local unrest and conspiracy theories denying the official story. Today, we’re investigating the Fukushima Toilet Death.

This reminded me of the case of Jozef Chovanec in Belgium. That was a normal person that went mad and end up in jail where he died maybe by police brutality. They called it Excited Delirium Syndrome (EDS). Sometimes people go mad without real reason (not related to mental state and substance abuse) and do irrational things.

strong arms? I am a swamp thing. I don't have arms, and I melt into a puddle if you look at me for to long. I will never be beakered. If I am contained I am taking Fredo with me.

Theory: he was running from pursuants, and went to his friend’s house hoping she could help him. When he got there, he realized she wasn’t there, but his pursuants were hot on his tail, so he quickly looked around for a hiding spot. Figuring no one would look for him in a sewer, he crawled in there only to find himself unable to get back out. Not knowing how long his pursuant(s) would stick around looking for him, he stayed quiet for as long as he could until he eventually passed away down there. And if the people after him were from the power plant or the political party, maybe he had important evidence with him that he wrapped his shirt around to protect when he crawled in. And then that evidence conveniently disappeared during the autopsy (tin foil hat on tight). It seems unlikely to me that people were trying to kill him for the things mentioned, so maybe they were just trying to rough him up, get the evidence back, or otherwise shut him up. As for the shoes, the one by the river probably came off while fleeing, and he may have taken the other one off himself, or it fell off as he was climbing in, only to end up in front of him and eventually on top of him on the other side of the u-bend where his face was.
