I dont have sleep paralysis but I experience " Hypnopompic hallucinations" this happens upon waking where you still see dream like hallucinations. Ive seen shadows or one time I thought my spouse was standing next to the bed. I reached out and ended up brushing against my spouse who was actually sleeping next to me. Being able to reach out is how I know it's not paralysis. But yeah I was confused, blinked a few times and the hallucination went away.

I have woken up so many times from kicking the foot board or punching the wall because I was fighting in my dreams (usually zombies). But my poor husband now has to check if my hands are out of the blankets before kissing me goodbye. I threw a left hook when he leaned in to kiss me because I had a dream one of his friends was trying to kiss me. I felt so bad but I also joked that he should be happy I’m so loyal to him that I’m willing to throw hands 😅😂. My body is always twitching and moving in my sleep so that body paralysis is obviously not firing through all cylinders. 🤷🏽‍♀️

As an adult I occasionally have sleep paralysis. When I was young I had issues with sleep walking & paralysis. I would usually wake while standing in the living room & my dad telling me to go back to bed. With the paralysis, I usually need to scream or speak but in the dream I can't for some reason, one time it was because I was possesed. I'll start to wake up & keep trying to speak or move or cry out & can't. I also occasionally get night terrors. My relationship with sleep isn't great lol
