Alana Cake

OMG, wait hearing that this is the last piece of media for this campaign is almost as sad as the Fanale, I'm sure it's only because I have been spoiled because the last campaign that ended was The Suckening and we got a maybe on a season two. That makes this my first campaign goodbye because I got here after BITB and Apothyosis finished. All that to say, I'm sad and I will miss this campaign! :(

tickleman

Tickle man gonna be knocking on ur door soon

void

They answer this in the episode

artandbrimstone

what happened to mary between being abandoned and deciding on becoming the moon beast that led her to become what she did? like how did she learn about being the king and such? (banger campaign btw I Iove it a lot :D)

Possum Paul

So how is like wonderlust and biweekly campaigns gonna happen is it like wonderlust only for a while or straight away to condo’s new campaign. I’m totally fine if y’all wanna take a break from 2 campaigns for a sec to let my heart recover.

Cheesenoodles

Not a question but I just wanted to say that I really, really enjoyed this campaign. From the sound effects and the music to the acting and story telling- this was truly an incredible experience. After episode three, I already began lamenting how cool it would‘ve been as a longer campaign. But in the end, I was more than happy with what came off it. Thank you for this witty and beautiful campaign. I can‘t wait to see what the future brings.

Petrichor

I would definitely love to see Milo in another JRWI campaign!! Either as a permanent player or a guest 💖

QueenPickle

OMG MILO'S COMING BACK!!!

Krow

Is the animal Condi was talking about a tanuki? Like the animal Tom Nook is?

enbyralsei

feel the need to clarify my username bc that pronunciation got me so good. Enby (pronounced N.B.) Ralsei (the character from deltarune). probably would have been easier if I put capital letters in there. didn't tho lmfao

Spark Chaos

You comment on everything dawg, and for some reason I feel joy eveytime I see you. You are my easter egg bro

Anidence

My question is when are we getting the Condi & Grizz Monster Hunter Power Hour where you two just talk about MH and nothing else

Just Roll With It

I think it's fun to imagine the different possibilities, and it was never necessary to flesh out every detail of the in between, sorta like how Milo probably didn't have every year of her Lucia's life thought out after the incident. Maybe Mary was found alone by the previous hybrid king, shortly after she was sent away, and then she was raised, given her dream/purpose, and then may she even grieved the loss of that previous king, shredding her last node of humanity to carry on the torch. Maybe she watched Lucia and her village from the shadows for some time, perhaps that's how she learned of the reasons she was sent away, perhaps resentment built, delusions based on assumptions festered. Maybe both! The important part about Mary is that, much like Lucia, she had a strong connection to magic, and thus not only survived monster blight in a unique way as a child, but was the perfect candidate to complete the Moonbeast ritual.

Just Roll With It

Appreciate that. :) JRWI is notoriously on the struggle bus when it comes to scheduling and keeping up with the posting schedule we set for ourselves. We are slowly getting better, but even now we feel the need to jump in to Condi's campaign just to keep momentum going. If there was a break in between the campaigns, it'd be an additional 2 weeks at most, if you don't count this Q&A as a break. We appreciate the support here on patreon & always want to do our best to consistently produce stuff you're all here for.

Anidence

Please it must happen it must br real

thee_birdo

what the hell the series is over you can stop making us cry

Mike Rawch

Grizzly, was Guildmaster Roc born as a hybrid who then infiltrated the Black Blades, or if not (and I get the sense he wasn't) why did he betray the Blades and become a hybrid??? So curious lmao 🤣 Thanks so much to all you guys! Everyone fuckin KILLED it!

The Lemonade Guy

I thought i was the only one who plays out fake scenes in the shower

Caiden Camphuysen

Forgot to leave a comment on the previous releases cuz I was busy while listening to them, but I just wanted to say that this mini campaign has inspired me so greatly as a dm regarding storytelling, writing, improv, and acting. Grizz, I haven't seen anyone mention this scene but when you were talking to Lucia as her dad and showed her what he said to Mary to get her to leave, it made me so sad but it was genuinely one of my personal favorite moments from you. The voice, the growl, the desperate yelling plea, it made me feel everything lol. The campaign as a whole achieved the same and I loved it so much. Condi, dude, Jin in the last episode was killer. I aspire to be able to put that much passion and meaning in my words when I act for my players. I felt every bit of emotion that Jin was feeling throughout that entire fight, and it was so visceral and furious it made me want to cry. Fantastic job, and like others said, you'd make a killing in voice acting. Beebo, seeing you in a villain role was so so so cool. Your description of Everett's Beast Knight gave me chills, and at almost every point I found myself aligning with Everett whenever he monologued or talked about his beliefs. A truly charismatic and convincing character, played to perfection. Milo, Lucia, to me, was the one to tie both Jin and Everett together. I think it was said in one of the Rolleds, but they both lie at the extremes and she in the middle, acting as an anchor for their conflicting ideals and, at times, personalities. For your first time playing dnd for a podcast, you did an exceptional job and I really wanna see more of you and what you can do! Sorry for the word vomit, but like I said I forgot to leave comments earlier. I loved this campaign and the characters and the world and I only aspire to be able to tell stories as compelling as this. Much love <3.

Matnar0

I think just random hunt episodes would be cool, and I actually like the idea of re visiting old series, even if just for a little, it's cool to get new stuff of the characters I know and love

thee_birdo

as SOON as i heard the idea about the multi-dm planeshifting campaign i thought about the potential for the convergence reboot...

Matnar0

I think the switching dm thing would lead to silly stuff and be VERY funny, I listen for yalls chemistry so I think that'd be perfect and awesome

thee_birdo

also tysm for answering my questions that was hype!

BuggyVynce

Then I will continue to comment on everything I can >:)

Seizuristic

Is riptide coming back now? Please please please its been so long.

CandyNerd

I love you milo >:D you are so poggers and it would be so cool to see you again in maybe another coming up campaign >:] I love you guys so much :]

PsySneks

A campaign idea for this multiple dm thing I've thought of but no one ik would be too open to: Psychonauts like shit, where say there's some mental type enemy jumping people's brain's and causing issues. So each jump into another's brain is then narrated and run by that person as the dm. Itd be a tough ball to roll but I think y'all could probably do something fun like that. Like cyberchase rules lol.

Natsu Sekai

I'm always on the fence for a while when a podcast i love brings in new personalities, doubly so when the pod always has the same cast. i think it's bc in my experience, the new host(s) don't already have that personal dynamic w/ the other hosts, so it's always obvious that they're a little out-of-the-loop when it comes to the rest of the group's shenanigans this was very much NOT the case w/ milo. she had personal history w/ the rest of the JRWI crew, and that made it VERY easy for her to match everyone else's freak level, and join in on the bits, the back & forth, and the 'yes, and' improv i enjoyed milo's involvement in TMK, and i honestly look forward to her being in more JRWI sessions, whether those are long-form campaigns, short-forms, or just one-offs. she has a very fun style that meshes really well with everyone else's senses of humor, but is also really good at getting into the rp of the more intense parts of session; getting emotional at the emotional parts and getting awed at the awesome parts go milo 💯 (also thanks grizz for hosting another campaign, i remember you said you read all these ❤️)

Lav ForYou

Question for the lovely dm Would there have been a way to save Everett or was he doomed as soon as he joined the monsters?

Seizuristic

Is slimecicle going to be in condi's campaign? Is it going to be the first four player campaign in, well, a while?

Seizuristic

Ik that this is supposed to be the last tmk piece of media, but surely we can have one final piece, which will be art for the MOONBEAST :) I think it's detrimental to my physical health if i'm left guessing

Kealz p.

I haven't listened to the this QnA yet, I'm waiting to listen to this while I'm at work. But I was wondering, what was the inspiration behind you bull-monkey monster? I'd like to think this it was Monster Hunter's Rajang and light sprinkling of DnD for the necrotic abilities. If was a Rajang, would this be a variant, a subspicies, or deviant that you'd label it as?

karua

is Pebble who Filipe was before he got isekai'd? , cuz I was fully expecting him to get run over by a monster or something as soon as he was introduced.

Gunkymunkyspunk

I dunno why but Everett’s voice initially made me think of Xavier renegade angel.

Dew Springs

New Jersey can keep Wawa ~love someone from the state above lmao

Aster

Thank y’all so much for everything you do bc i loved every second of this campaign. So hyped for the next one‼️

Skelepathically

It was talked about in the QnA a lil bit but gosh- can we talk about Condi’s voice acting progress? Between Sylnan to Jin, his skills have really been forged. The sheer emotion in Jin’s speeches- and especially the screaming- was genuinely peak. And to think he’s going to be dming again soon (?) has me all giddy in my good bits.

YourFoxMomAya

If Milo joined the Riptide pirates as a new crew member then I think there would be a bit of a weird vibe as players with power dynamics. Seeing as Chip, Jay, and Gil are all co-Captains bringing a fourth main character would either make them a crew member or a fourth co captain to keep them equals. Which I don’t think is a good idea. BUT I do think Milo could be a guest star for an episode like with Ranboo, where when things cool off or when there needs to be a filler episode you can bring Milo in. You might even be able to pull off what you did with Yakko in PD where they would be there for a short time but not permanently

medivyn

I wanna give my piece on the question of "What could Lucia have said to change Everett's mind?" Personally, I don't think anything she said could sway his perspective on things. He doesn't seem like that kind of character to me. I think the things that could have gotten through to him were much less confrontational or direct. A consoling hand on the shoulder, an ear lent to listen to his troubles, a gentle presence to keep him company... I think what he needed was to directly witness what a world ruled by beasts could never give him, and leave him to think about it. I still think this campaign was perfect though. I'm not opposed to angst in the slightest, and TMK had the emotion I need for it to really count. I've never been so inspired and moved by a story before, and it means a lot to me even now

Patrick Rowe

Is Slimecicle going to be in this new campaign as well?

Just Roll With It

thats so funny. i wish.. not pebble is his own little guy. i just like the voice

Just Roll With It

funny enough i first got the idea for the horned primate in an anime figure shop. i saw a massive figure of guts vs zodd from berserk and thought- yeah thats the monster im gonna make them fight. i think rajang was definitely another inspiration after that, but i wanted it to be chimeric, rather than full monster ape.

Just Roll With It

it would have been very difficult if bizly attempted to switch sides by the point of the finale

Just Roll With It

currently that is what is planned! but perhaps not at the beginning!

karua

its a good voice, please keep doing it

InsomniaDraws

the multi-DM campaign idea is a really fun one, my friends and i started a campaign we call the Chaos Chronicles back in July where the three of us are players and DMs, we went in with no plan as to what we were doing, just the characters, a tavern, and that's it. We improvised the entire plot and worldbuilding as we went and bounced off of each other's ideas. It was a way for us to work on our improv and I can certainly say it's one of my favorite campaigns we've done thus far, we get really into it and mesh really well with each other! I'd definitely say running that style of campaign is really fun and I absolutely recommend it!

Lav ForYou

Thank youuu this campaign was wonderful yall did amazing 🫶🫶🫶

Mei Rusting

I personally haven’t listen to TMK yet but by the comments I am genuinely so excited to start it. Sounds like Grizly did a fantastic job DMing and the players brought so much life into the campaign. I truly cannot wait to start this! Ahhh

Mel_TB

I had to take a hot second when Milo said their characters name was gonna be Mel short for Melody in Condi's next campaign because, like, that's the process I went through finding the name Mel. Like, what- I swear the last name better not be Lucero and they better not be a bird person who's a sorcerer with major religious trauma istg /j

Pandora

I think we’ll be fine, religious trauma is a Charlie thing

Jezzibolt

I love TMK. It’s so good! Everyone involved did such an amazing job!

PancakeBatter

ngl i would LOVE for milo to be an occasional guest character on Riptide if she doesnt wanna be a main one, she would be great:3

Taya

I agree, like how they did guest stars early campaign for a couple episodes when sailing to a new mini island!!

DW55

You must not know the point of the Moonbeast

Seizuristic

You have a point, however, you are nitpicking and biased amd therefore i win, bye bye

transientbeast

jin: american badger everette: honey badger lucia: european badger

Pluto Taylor

Ima be totally honest, this entire campaign I have been misinterpreting everything and making it into my own narrative completely by accident like the characters look totally different in my head, their meanings were twisted and both versions were sick as hell so this qna def cleared up all the shit I was missing out on (I easily misunderstand stuff this wasn’t anyone’s fault but now I’m lowkey inspired to do my own art and fanfics of what I saw now)

James Jordan

it was absolutely incredible. if u somehow have up to this point, avoid the spoilers

Mei Rusting

I’ve been attempting to not get any spoliers😭 It’s so hard due to everyone talking about it. I really need to start it o(-(

Nintendog

WHO TF IS BORN 7 ft TALL OUT THE WOMB 😭

Amy Waller

So apparently Milo's most comfortable state is being an absolute FUCKING LEGEND

Amy Waller

The arc from HAWT to lil guy is the true dnd player character arc.

Ethananous512

I wonder if Grizz’s new “goblin” character got switched to be a Verdan. I’m currently playing one in my friend’s campaign and I absolutely love her to death, so it would be exciting to see one on JRWI

Kaios

“We cannot continue with four white dudes running a podcast.” Fucking took me out

Lyla Harper

Bizzlys not with you to grizzly was PERSONAL

DeeDeDeeDee

Grizz had to make Arthur Ugly one time and decided he’s just gonna switch to making little guys. 💀

Cameron

she could play a major npc on Zero since they have that island protected now, they have narrative reason to return more than a few times for sure

ob1fun

Milo did to well I’m struggling to believe she’s new

Ponderhin

Them talking about how they like making people cry. I'm sitting here knowing that I've cried at different points in every campaign (including the ending to TMK)

Ponderhin

Wait there's a Lucia playlist?? Where do I find it?

Spider in your cider

Condie luck at the end of this campaign was fucking insane Me personally I can’t go more than three rolls without a roll below seven

Eggyneer

I understand the conflict cumming bit now... funniest shit I've ever heard

Fire Lynn

SPOILERS even if it's on the QnA: i know this is almost been a year but: i do wonder what Mary's/King's last words/thoughts to Lucia would've been. even if her consciousness was in the moonbeast.

Nicole Ezell

i forgot the jrwi cast don’t live in california like every other dnd campaign. what do you mean milo lives in the beautiful state of new jersey????? I need to know MiloMumbles’s takes on the Central Jersey Debate NOW
