I know as a doctor Paeon took an oath to save lives and not to intentionally bring harm to others and themselves, but them putting down the soul amalgam was less about saving lives and more about alleviating suffering. The two kind of go hand in hand, but I feel like the latter is more realistic because not all lives can be saved...although not suffering can be alleviated either. Doctors and nurses have to deal with the ill all the time and while they wish to save people's lives, they know that they're going to have patients that suffering with a slim chance of surviving, and they have to make a choice: take the chance of saving them, or cut their losses and alleviate their suffering. So they may feel like they ended several thousand lives, but I say they alleviated the suffering of several thousand people. Paeon "saved" them in a sense. ...well that's how I look at it, at least

Spoilers for the ending guys beware . . . . . . . . . Absolutely OBSESSED with the moral dilemmas this episode!! So glad Paeon and Buck revisited the blue soul amalgam and came to a conclusion on what to do. I loved the debate over what to do and the different perspectives from everyone!! Also Paeon’s decision to do it without a mask made it a billion times more emotional. Personally think Paeon did the right thing, they let the amalgam stop suffering while saving countless lives as well. Always love Condi’s banger moral dilemmas frfr!!!!
