I thought the dungeon was kind of cool, the best part was the Narcissus reference. I'm a big fan of greek mythology so seeing little references to it makes my day. Still holding out for the mad max just roll what if, I know it was probably a one-off joke but it sounds super cool.

I pictured this guy bbeg as the Swamp giy from avatar with coffin in the middle. I also am curious about Gill bc u said he is just now hitting lvl 4 paladin? Did he multiclass? Also I might be deaf but I thought I heard chip attack twice in a round did he go dual weapon fighter?

i was absolutely thrilled to hear my suspicions were correct that the reflection pond's spell was based off of Narcissus, really just love the ambient greek mythos vibe of the isle of ire- from the variety of sirens, people turned to stone, the party's trepidation around Chip's hubris planning, and the self-love pool. really love grizzly's dming and worldbuilding thus far!

Chip did take dual weapon fighting at level 4, and also at level 4, Gil took one level of sorcerer.

My metagamer head says that Gill should get War Caster, but my roleplayer heart says Inspiring Leader.

I could be picturing it wrong, but in my head the rod kept the coffin from closing the lid, but once it was defeated the lid didn't have magic forcing it shut so it opened the face + fell back. Not 100% certain though.
