I feel like the crew isn't being rough enough on Nicolaus, to me, dude is like EVIL. Not in a "He's senselessly doing bad things" way, I'm sure he has motives and those motives lead him to do the stuff he does, but even before asking for whatever favor he wants to get out of Gillion, which I'm guessing won't be a pinnacle of selflessness, dude is ALREADY a major hypocrite. No, the people didn't kill themselves, HE KILLED THEM, they had flaws and selfish-ish motivations because they're human and instead of helping them overcome those flaws or at least leaving them the fuck alone, he made it worse for them in every single way and in some instances, straight up killed them. That's not enacting any sort lf moral high ground, that's being a self absorbed prick who thinks he's justified and he ALSO has alterior motives in the deals he makes, which are probably not gonna be as selfless as Gillion's deal which was literally selflessness epitomized, yet I don't see him enacting the same sort of moral imperative on himself, as he does for his victims

Since Nicklaus took the pearl from Dugan does that mean the artificial leviathan is gonna be flawed because he’s no longer a true leviathan?

jasonthefricker

Bizly and Condi had such good role play this episode, really fit the coming back to reality vibe of the episode.

OfficialLilac

Yeah. I think no matter how the crew was when they got back, Chip probably would have reached the same conclusion at the end of the epsiode. 😔

ShaLoo_Cartigan

Quick thing, did we all forget that they actually never posted an episode 69….we are TECHNICALLY on episode 80

Lorus

When Niklaus got a hold of the space gillion was trapped in. I imagined Niklaus in a helicopter airlifting this orb out of the sea shouting down to gillion. It's truly the greatest image I've ever conjured.

Benjamin

They uploaded two Episode 68s

Maximoff

Does Goobleck going into the multiverse means he meets Br'aad? Because thats an interaction I would love to see.

Ace Hutson

Truly, masters of comedy

ZeroIQ

I am so glad Pretzel is okay, I was so worried about her the whole episode

St4tic

Goobleck should be a monster if you guys end up doing the bounty hunter campaign

Trainlox

Charlie is like the king of watching from the sidelines, reminds me of the episode of PD where William has to watch Doug and Dokotas ice cream meetup from outside lickity split.

Jazzton

This was one of the most episode ever

Cooki

The editing in this episode felt weird, especially with the chip and jay talk, and Niklaus' conversation towards the end. The cutting out the little silence bits or the just general gaps in speaking make it feel really unnatural, like written dialogue in a voice acted game that you keep skipping through. I just found it really hard to engage with it when I noticed it, it just made those scenes lack the weight they outta had.

Squatch

Obama, George Bush, Michael Jackson, Goku, and Condifiction all walk into a bar

Bean Martin

Lmao I was imagining the exact same thing. Gillion getting sprayed by the sprinklers and fogging up the glass.

NaughtNolan

Can anyone tell me what they were referring to at the end of the show when they were saying “cock” or “coc”???

joakim

Call of cthulu prob

I was working my new job while listening to this episode, and I'm so glad nobody else was in the room because I was making all sorts of noises and flailing around from excitement. It was devastating and I loved every minute of it. Chip and Jay's conversation almost made me cry, I felt the gut-wrenching dread when Niklaus pulled out the pearl so casually, I shrieked when the Limonade Empire was revealed, I was so sad to say goodbye to Goobleck, the skrunkly little guy, but I am excited for him to be a future easter egg in the other campaigns and possibly one-shots or what-ifs. I want to give all the characters hugs. Thank you Grizzly, as well, for weaving such a genuinely cool story. You take the nonsense and make it fit into your big, wild puzzle in the most satisfying of ways, all while adding elegant and unique characters and settings and mechanics into the story to make it feel so much more real.

this episode came out on my nineteenth birthday and as a canadian i was too drunk and high for my birthday to listen to it until today and it made me so emotional i started chewing on my desk because i didn't know what else to do with myself. excellent birthday present.

Jake Veltkamp

I have a very important question… since goobleck is in every multiverse does that mean we, as DM’s, are legally allowed, copyright free, to use goobleck as an npc

Shiro Okami

I've been listening for like 2 years now and I just want to say this has been amazing so far cant wait for more!

Strangle Mcock

I didn’t know that Grace was writing for the campaign. That’s so awesome.
