honestly, this was my absolute favorite episode of prime defenders. i fully enjoyed that every character had a little bit of growth this episode and the reveal at the end was absolutely insane! 100/10 loved it and can’t wait to see what happens with origami

I’m so glad that Charlie reworked William’s tone, it’s relieving to see a balance in seriousness and humor with him. His character this episode reminded me of how he was in s1 ep11 when they first met Ashe (which has consistently been one of my most favorite episodes of JRWI). William doesn’t have to be gloomy and sad to be serious and present within the scene. Nor does he have to be completely serious 100% of the time. It seems like Charlie found a better tonal balance that is still enjoyable to play, and I hope he continues to play William in a way that can still be goofy without feeling disassociated from the moment. 💙

Just to clarify, it I’m not say that William was only ever like this in season 1 episode 11, I just think that episode is a great example of this tonal balance.

Wait ok crazy idea because of an off comment in the Rolled. What if there are certain characters in the different JRWI campaigns are basically alternate universe versions of other characters. They don't even need to act the same, they can just have a similar look or vibe, like Keane Stone and Origami. You can even stretch it out a bit like Thanatos and Gillian since they're both paladins who devoted their lives to the gods and are horribly naive when it comes to everyday things. I was gonna say this is just me, but through Gooblek (Why does this make sense and why is Gooblek the key...), we know that interdimentional travel between the different campaigns is actually possible, so (sadly) its not too unreasonable to assume that some characters are related in that way coincidentally.

dudes i loved this episode. i normally put on pd to sleep and i listen to what i missed in the morning but genuinely i Couldnt sleep and i laid in the dark for almost the entire hour and a half and exploded

This episode is definitely a top episode for me!!!!!! It was amazing and so hype. I loved how this episode felt much more cohesive, in a way? PD has never felt unbalanced in a plot way, but the recent episodes have felt kinda.. jumpy? If that makes any sense? This episode completely changed that vibe and every scene felt filled out. Amazing episode boys!!!

Tbh this ep is in my top eps along with like s2 ep 20 and the final s1 ep, dakotas character has come so insanely far and getting to see grizz finally play out a character that gets a chance to develop slowly is really somthing, Dakota’s nuances and his constant battle between wanting to be a hero and caring for the people around him makes episodes like these-where he gets to be vulnerable with PD but also prove himself against his master - feel so rewarding and well rounded. Dakota deserves the world I’m so glad we are getting to really see what his character is capable of.
